He died at his home peacefully of natural causes a representative said He starred alongside NCIS Star, Scott Bakula on the sci fi show that aired from 1989 to 1993 that was critically acclaimed for its time traveler who gets lost in time and unable to get home as he portrays various characters through time Stockwell was recognized for his work on the show and went on to do various others including Dune, Paris, Texas, To Live and Die in LA, Beverly Hills Cop and as the Rogue Defense Secretary in Air Force One. He later found success after he was cast in Battlestar Galactica in 2006 in Vancouver where he had a role until 2009.. I probably know him from a lot of stuff, but I'll always associate him with Al, a hologram that only Sam can see and hear. The series ending was stupidly bittersweet, probably because they wanted to potentially continue the show someday. Full Throttle posted... He starred alongside NCIS Star, Scott Bakula ...and I'll always remember him as Sam, even when he was in... whatever that Clive Barker film was, The Illusionist maybe.
