The last apple crisp I made was disappointing. I won't be using Ambrosia apples again. They didn't really bake down at all or release any moisture, so it was just crumble (which I didn't make enough of) on top of slightly softened apple slices.

mmm... It's been a while since I had some. Too bad I'm needing to cut down on my sugar intake for a while, or I'd see about making it as well.
