Climate, water, plants, sun cycles, proper gravity, atmosphere, ozone, etc. Minerals, oils, ecosystem, all that stuff. If we colonize somewhere else, we're just going to end up with the same problems somewhere else. Except it's going to be drastically more difficult since we're going to have to artificially create all the things this planet already does naturally on top of everything else. We should just use the technology we plan on using in space on Earth instead. Just moving isn't going to fix the problems. It's like if your current home getting full of trash, but your plans are to build a new home from scratch with a built in trash remover robot. If you're smart enough to make a house from scratch with a trash removing robot, why not just fix up the house you already have? Or just throw out the trash yourself.
