What happened is, after a particularly bad crash, all of my addons died. They still show as being installed, but they don't work, they don't have any of their previous settings saved, and reinstalling them doesn't fix them. I had this issue once before, and I was scrambling for answers until I found that restarting my whole computer fixed it. This time it didn't. The most crucial things lost are my Greasemonkey scripts and my Stylus CSS, which are both stored somewhere in the data of their respective addons. Please assist.

If you're using a firefox account to sync to another computer, this is likely your best bet.

If you're not, my recommendation would be to use about:profiles to learn where the data is stored (it'll be somewhere under the main profile directory) and try copying it to a new profile to see if it works, or import it to a fresh installation of the add-on if the add-on supports that. If the data is legit corrupted, you may just be fucked though, as much as I hate to say it.

Well... I don't have a Firefox account. But I tried going to the page for it just out of curiosity to see how it might have possibly helped me, and it gave me an error about local storage not being enabled. That gave me enough of a hint to Google that error, and I ended up finding a thing saying to rename your local storage folder so Firefox can regenerate a fresh one. I did that, and my extensions instantly started working again. So that suggestion ended up mostly saving me after all.

However, while the extensions now function properly, they didn't bring back the stuff that was saved in separate files (like the Greasemonkey scripts). But now that I know which folder was causing the issue and still have it backed up, I'll try poking around in there to see if I can locate the scripts. Thanks for the tips.

Try using the "Export a backup..." option in Greasemonkey to get a copy of all your scripts saved to your computer (in separate folders inside a ZIP file).

Holy shit I actually got my Stylus CSSes back by copying the old extension folders into the new storage folder! Need to back these up like a dozen times now. I was about to retire from this site if I couldn't get it looking normal again.

No luck on Greasemonkey scripts with the same method, but all things considered, those are more easily replaceable if I remember what I had. Some of my CSS was custom that I'd never be able to replicate.
