ConcernedApe's done pretty well by me so far. I'll happily check it out when it comes out.
One bonus I can see judging from the screenshots is the lack of a clock, which implies no time pressure. Which is one of the aspects of the original I wasn't a huge fan of. So that seems like a plus. I'm also assuming there's still romances, based on the gift-giving scene and the dialogue with multiple options, so that's cool as well. I'm more than ready to seduce my way through town (which should be even easier if I've got all the chocolate). I'm just curious if it technically takes place in the same world as Stardew Valley (which would open the door to cameos or references from the first game), or if it's a unique setting that just happens to look identical because that's his personal style. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ... Presumably there's some sort of mechanic that limits what you can do in a day, since the entire genre is based on managing opportunity costs. Recettear (which is often considered the ancestor of the indie shop management subgenre, though many other examples exist now) handled that by having time progress through four periods each time you travelled between different areas (e.g. Your shop, Dungeons, Town shops...). You could spend as long as you wanted in each (aside from time passing when your shop was open), which was mostly useful for dungeon exploration, but you still had limits on what you could do each day. --- This is my signature. It exists to keep people from skipping the last line of my posts. ... Copied to Clipboard!
