Ive only ever played with a controller so I cant say, but you can remap buttons now for what its worth. Id imagine using a bow character would be easier with a kbm, but thats only for charged shots with Ganyu/Amber.

I play on a controller, but there are aspects of the game that are definitely better on KB+M, like aimed shots with archers, being able to turn quickly, and using the shortcut that allows you to switch characters and instantly deploy their burst.

How to kill interest in Shenhe before shes even released

I knew that was going to be the Yae Miko teaser before I even expanded the link.

If I was lucky I could potentially get Shenhe too, but since Im 0 pulls since my last 5* which happened to be a coin flip win for Eula Ill probably need 150-180 Fates just to get Yae out of the 210~ I currently have. Theoretically I could get both with 225 Fates and some luck, but I doubt Id risk it >.>

Honestly, this probably just means I'm not getting Zhongli...again. Not gonna pull on Itto's banner anymore, either. Will just have to be content with C0 Gorou

Got a Yun Jin in 5 Fates. Not bad. Got a Razor C2 from Acquaints

I've made zero pulls so far. Deliberating and waiting for info on the new characters, especially when Yun Jin can be had for free in a few weeks.

I had something like 220+ Fates so I thought why not try a few singles. Never know when youll hit super early 5* and most of the banner is low investment for me. My Ning is C0 and my Chong is C4 I think with the other two being brand new so I felt it was worth getting at least 1 4* pull.

I feel like an idiot. I cant figure out how to get this Key Sigil to start Enkanomiya. The location for mine shows it underwater and I have no idea how to get to whatever spot it is.

It's in a cave inside the basin walls. The same one that was the end of the prequel quest.

I played this game for a week or so when it came out, and then picked it up again about a week and a half ago. I just reached Act II of Chapter 1. Not sure what I should focus on for now, just rush through the main story? Should I even bother powering up weapons and artifacts if Im likely to replace them at some point?

Try to at least get through the Liyue story and new interlude quest so you can access the events coming up soon. You should have a few weeks to do so, not a huge rush.

As for weapons and artifacts, they are generally safe to level up because you can use them as fodder and get 80% of the exp back. It's important to level them to keep your damage up, especially artifacts. That said, I'd avoid investing too much into 3 star weapons outside a few exceptions. 4*s are good though and what most of your team is going to end up using.

Decide who you want your main squad to be and focus on them. Try not to level everyone up as resources are limited. Prioritize your main DPS and one other sub-DPS to carry you through the early game. I wouldn't worry about artifacts until around AR45ish.

I got Razor and he seems pretty good so I've been mostly using him, my main character, Ninguang, and Barbara, and leveling up Kaeya and Amber a bit just so I have someone of those elements that can at least keep up a little.

Recouping experience on weapons is a fool's errand since the weapon your leveling hits breakpoints where you have to stop and do something else, and the excess is wasted. (I assume. Maybe not. Enhancement ores actually refund you the difference when you go over now.) Either way, I still wouldn't level a weapon you don't intend to keep around.

Agree with Swifty in that you should stick to one team up through the point where you get to AR45 and can start farming 5-star artifacts. Once you feel comfortable at that stage with your main team, you can start branching out.

I'm a big believer in that you should play at your own pace and explore and quest only when it interests you. Unfortunately, Mihoyo doesn't seem to agree since they lock so much stuff behind main quest progression.

For Razor, I'd focus on Kaeya. Superconduct is a very valuable reaction because it debuffs the enemies' resistance to physical, so you want a cryo character to help keep that going.

For crystallize shields, they're part of the class of reactions that includes literally everything but vaporize and melt, called transformative. All transformative reactions depend on precisely two things -- the character level of the person triggering the reaction, and the elemental mastery of that person. Since you're not going to build EM on a geo character, that basically just means Ningguang's level.

You guys hear Yun Jins singing voice yet? I think its the default Chinese in every language and its something.

I haven't interacted with Yun Jin yet in game, but it wouldn't surprise me. They seemed to make a big deal about it in the special program.

I was looking into what 4-star characters are considered good and I see that Xingqiu, who I have, is considered one of the best, but does he need a bunch of constellations for that to actually be true or might he be worth replacing Barbara with before I spend that many resources on her? Also I have Rosaria, would she be a better choice than Kaeya?

Xingqiu gets better with constellations but doesn't need them. He's just good. He's a bit of a different role than Barbara though, he can apply hydro and do damage from off-field extremely well but his healing isn't great.

As for Kaeya and Rosaria, you probably can get a lot of mileage from using both of them on the same team and using one to support the other. Using two characters of the same element gives you a unique bonus and Cryo's happens to be real good because it buffs crit.

Kaeya and Rosaria are both good in very similar ways. They're basically interchangeable. If you haven't leveled either and aren't planning to use this character as your main DPS, I'd say work with Rosaria, but Kaeya's possibly better as a main, and you've already got him in use, right? Or do what HDT suggests and use both.

What's your current team again? Razor, Ning, and Barbara it suggests above? I wouldn't necessarily recommend both Razor AND Ning since they're both "greedy" characters that want on-field time. But the most important rule is play what you want to play, so don't put too much stock in that. Razor wants a cryo. Ning likes a second geo, though it's less important.

If I were to rank the 4-stars for non-main DPS purposes, under the assumption we're talking about LATE GAME purposes, and not for leveling:

1. Xingqiu
2. Bennett (most people would put Bennett at -83 on this list, because he'd be so high he'd pass through the negative numbers)
3. Sucrose
4. Diona
5. Xiangling (who is also a main DPS)

With honorable mention to mostly everyone else. There's almost no character I would say is universally useless, even if some have very narrow uses.

Xingqui needs some investment to be really good. 170+ Energy Recharge with Sacrificial Sword (chance to recast Skill) and you're golden.

I was starting to notice the clash with Razor and Ning, I've been keeping her on mostly because she could attack decently from a distance against stuff like those floating Anemo stone things or the Ruin Hunters

plus there's a lot of Geo-activated devices in Liyue and that's where I'm mostly at right now

They are two of the most capable main damage dealers for 4-stars, but yeah, they don't play nice together. You're probably better off picking one. Which one's entirely on you to decide. One does physical and the other does geo, so neither has a ton of elemental support available.

Just keep in mind getting through the overworld is kind of a different need than building endgame teams in that case. You'll have to swap characters in and out to deal with puzzles or bosses so you have a little leeway as long as you don't spread your resources too thin. When it comes time to invest more heavily focus on your favorites and/or the "safe" characters Azuarc listed.

Razor and Rosaria are great together.

Razor/Rosaria/Xingqui. Freeze and smash with Razor. Your 4th can be a healer.

Man I really want a 6th C for my girl Noelle so she can become a beast. Enkanomiya has been interesting to walk around in. I like the new Vishaps there and the area itself is neat. Also just learned Shenhes JP VA is the same as Fates Saber which is awesome. She didnt seem too strong on the trial so Im thinking they use poorly built versions on those. I still havent even done Kokomis character quest so I better catch up on those before an event demands it

It's because of the self-imposed limitation that only free characters can be your guest characters in the trial, and Shenhe's really restrictive in what kind of other characters you can use with her, so Kaeya being the only cryo character available makes for a bad combination. It might as well be a team of two.

Maybe she does more than I think and Im just used to my Eula and her nutty dps. Might build Yun Jin in the future as a normal attack buff support for either Yoimiya or Eula :D

I'm definitely more interested, gameplay-wise, in Yun Jin. But we'll get a free Liyue character and I have basically no reason not to pick her with that. I'm also not thrilled with a DEF-scaling character after Husk is out, but I might just browse my random DEF junk if it comes to that and not worry about set bonus. I'm not convinced I have a use for her yet, though.

Im still building characters I already have. Its awful how much artifact grinding sucks. I feel like it drains enjoyment even since I just keep getting garbage for everyone.

so I know this isn't really how you're supposed to do gacha, you're supposed to save up and spend a whole bunch at once to get a specific goal, but I decided to do a single ten-pull on the Xiao banner and got Xiao, Diluc, and three Yun Jins lol

I dont think Ive ever gotten 2 5*s in a multi or even a 5* early other than Childe messing everything up once. Everyone else was at 75 or higher
