Having to click a button to accept cookies on so many web sites gets old. There should be some global GDPR setting within web browsers to auto-accept cookies if you want to.

You know how sometimes there's an "accept" button and also a "x" button to completely close it without accepting? I always close the message if it's available rather than accepting. Hate when there's no close window option

It's so annoying. And there's no consistency to it so every website handles it in their own way.

The EU and the USA access the same internet, so if people who make web sites want their content to be accessible in the EU, then they have to abide by the GDPR, which affects the USA.

Oh no, I have to spend five seconds extra the first time I visit a website so that millions of people get to keep their right to privacy!

This can be accomplished without adding a pop-up to every web site. Five seconds for every web site adds up to a lot over time.

I know you're employed in networking and therefore you know your shit, but if it's accomplished easier then why isn't that way implemented?

Because developing a standard is a lot harder than signing a law, especially when the people who created the law don't understand that a standard should have been developed.

The idea and intention behind it is 100% great and I fully support. How many have chosen to implement it does get tedious but honestly never been that bothered by the few seconds to click "deny all" that most seem to have.

You can't actually "deny all" in most situations there's always the "necessary for site" cookies that aren't really necessary because I can block them and the site works fine anyway.

Oh sure. They still make you accept "essential" ones, but the vast majority in my experience can be automatically denied in one click.
