Then that doctor failed to order proper tests when my friend's mom complained of pain and he was just convinced she had nothing serious. I have been speaking and cultivating a friendship over the past year and a half with a woman whom I've a certain admiration for, and she has often told me that she loves my speaking voice. At times she would playfully tease and pressure me to sing, to which I've replied that I've been told I'm not that good as she is (she is a very lovely singer), but maybe someday when I'm more comfortable I will, and then she may laugh at me when the time comes. I recently sang to her sections of Donny Hathaway's "A Song For You" and Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" note for note. I practiced beforehand, more than I'm willing to admit! And I'm glad I did, because she ended up liking it a lot, and saying that I could do so much with my voice going so far as to call it "wasteful" that I wasn't! Of course I played it mellow, and thanked her for her words but those words really did a lot more than she knows. There's your feel-good story for tonight. Awww that's super cute!!
