So from what I understand this is a strategic thing? Democrats we ill have to use reconciliation to end the filibuster on this instead of adding the extra stuff to the infrastructure bill.

But they have to put the country in danger to do that. Democrats should call them majorly.

not in this country. they've decree'd that all it takes is someone saying the word "filibuster", and then it goes back into the pile. with no limit on how often they can do so.

It's arguable that the concept of a debt ceiling isn't constitutional anyway.
Still, revenue is entirely up to congress, specifically the House.

A system in which the global economy hinges on whether the party controlling both houses of the legislature and the presidency is allowed to raise the made-up barrier preventing the country from paying the bills it has already accrued is pretty good, if you ask me.
