But I can't literally force you to hold stocks. It feels like the easiest money in the world by December. Heck it could happen next week depending on what's in the form filed. If the Tyde ratio is really nice it could squeeze next week. The only reason I'm not adding more is I literally can't without ditching other stuff I'd be too upset to miss the run on. If it gets to $40 I will make well into the 6 figures without even considering covered call money and to me the potential reward is just too great at this level.

There is no way to know whether the stock will guarantee to go up a ton in December. First it was expected to pop this week, then it plummeted. Now its December. Maybe that will happen, maybe it wont. But I prefer to not hold my money in a meme stock for two months. I went into it because you sounded very confident about it this week, and thats on me for not doing my own research / forgetting that crazy things happen in the market.

Whether it goes down further is kind of irrelevant. If you bought the stock with an expectation of something what changed to make you hop off? I have the same position I had at the beginning of the week, it's just down 80%

If you sold because you were bleeding money you just put too much money into it. I threw $500 at it as a gamble and my SCHD Index fund I have 90% of my money in made more for me today than I lost in BBIG.

Am I probably losing my last 100? Yes. But maybe not. Maybe it takes off tomorrow. It dropping a ton doesn't change anything

I don't believe in stop losses based entirely on price action.

Price targets you're trying to reach (not stop loss at) are good so you have an idea of when to sell (for gains), but unless facts change there's no reason to sell low. Just hold your stock until the price corrects to what you think it is.

Now granted facts have changed-- the expected dividend date changed. But it's not super far out. Holding through the end of the year is nothing-- it sucks for my short term options but whatever. This is why I've got very small amounts in there. (Fun fact I only lost about $500 in them if none pay out)

However what has also changed is borrow rate and short interest, and cost to borrow have all gone up, and that you note a ton of fake news spam in information channels for BBIG. To me all this stuff swirling around is very bullish. There is no need to lie if the stock is actually weak.

Now here are the things that could make me sell BBIG, or at least scale my investment back.

1. We get the filing info and the ratio is something weak like 1 share of Tyde per 50 shares of BBIG or something. I feel like 1 share per 2 or better is extremely good. Anything at 1 per 10 or lower makes me lose a lot of enthusiasm.
2. BBIG/Tyde fail some manner of audit or their valuation is found to be well under current estimates.
3. BBIG does a stock offering (seems unlikely they'd need to as they have a lot of cash on hand)

I haven't looked at any of this stuff for BBIG but I'm generally skeptical of any short squeeze story at this point because it's so soon after GME and I feel like short sellers have got to know the market is going to squeeze them if it senses the slightest opportunity. If they are rational they should not put themselves into that kind of asymmetric situation where they stand to lose way more than they could gain.

With GME and before, they could tell themselves the chance of getting squeezed was really low because there hadn't been a major squeeze before in a long time, but now any stock with significant short interest is getting attention all over the place.

The point of comparison is Overstock.

The mechanics are in place. It's just a matter of whether the ratio is good enough to compel the stock to be bought, and whether the company has good enough underlying fundamentals to not tank hard enough for the shorts to be able to cover cheap.

I do agree that "short squeeze" is overused these days. Like PROG is getting a lot of chatter lately as a candidate-- but it isn't going to short squeeze beyond what it has because it has no real mainstream appeal-- it's being short sold because it pumped, just like with everything that pumps. Shorts will win that long term as people profit take/panic sell.

They actually can't win against BBIG unless something goes wrong in the filing. The shares must be bought. And BBIG is growing a following of people who are using ape logic with it. Honestly just the silliness of the ticker gives it more appeal than something like PROG.

Gah. So DWAC is going to be Trump's new social media company, Truth Social. Last night I was planning on buying it after seeing that news. Woke up about 100 minutes ago and it was up about 30% at open. Wasn't ready to get up and wasn't sure about the price so I went back to sleep. Now it's up about 90% today. Darn it. Missed so much profit.

I could see it going up more. Still a good time to buy if you believe it'll pump. Buy that dip. Ride it to $30.

I don't really wanna gamble on it for what I feel is +~100% upside but maybe I will with what little uninvested cash I have. Get more BBIG money

I've noticed that sometimes Google dramatically miscalculates market cap for SPACs, so be careful. I think it's because the SPAC is usually only getting a small slice of the shares of the acquisition target.
