N64 and GameCube should have been on there. Not that big of a difference between an PS4 and a PS3. SNES will always dominate these polls anyway.

PS2
SNES PS1 The order could go any possible way, but those are by far the top 3 of all time. I'd give NES/Famicom the leather medal. It's an incredible system and library of games for its time. Like...I have a relatively minor standard for graphics and still think a lot of NES games look beautiful, but holy crap every single Atari game I ever see, it just looks so awful. ... I didn't even have a PS2 but probably PS2, so many gems and even hidden gems it was insane. Gamecube (which I had, 2nd console after PS1, 93 kid) had a smaller library but the core library was really high quality. And Xbox was just a machine for a few games so only rich kids got one.
Funny that I wanted to get a Nintendo console since I liked N64's QUALITY*(Not sarcasm) library more than my PS1, but then PS2 ended up having a lot more options and stuff I wanted to play (though I did love my GC). I just stuck with Nintendo though (until I became Xbox 360 FPS/PC gamer mid Wii-era) because games like Metroid Prime, Smash, Zelda, etc moved me so much. And I got OoT+Master Quest disc which was incredible, being able to play through a masterpiece with alternate puzzles to experience it twice. --- Playing: TotA; ToV: DE, SM Odyssey, MH:R, MHW: IB | MR329+/HR 561+ | LS/CB/GS/BOW "The imagination is a weapon, those who don't use it, die first" ... PS2 for me. Not only was that the last time I felt a big jump in console performance but the games/series that came out on the system still are my part favourites to this day.

Really hard to say.
The NES is responsible for saving the market after the crash and had a vast library of games but was technically unimpressive. The SNES was a huge upgrade and really took a huge step forwards. While SEGA did well as the rival the fact is the SNES simply had a bigger overall impact on the market. The PS1 was a massive technological leap forwards and was responsible for the advent of disks being used for consoles as well as having a large library of varied games. The N64 was highly limited to mainly first-party developers (though there were some other good games on it) and struggled with it's library but what games it did have tended to be legendary. The PS2 was a HUGE leap forwards in tech and affordability along with a change in marketing strategy that simply blew away it's competition with it's outright staggering library of games and the fact that the Gamecube and X-box just couldn't compete with the sheer weight of the titles. The 360 and Wii were both large steps forwards with the 360 providing a gaming experience that appealed to hard-core gamers immensely while the Wii opened the market to casual gamers on a level simply not seen before. The PS4 kind of didn't have much going for it beyond the lack of real competition as Nintendo focused on it's portable consoles and the X1 just... lacked the weight it should have had. The Switch has reformed the definition of a console and shown it doesn't need to be bound to the house anymore and, honestly, I suspect it will result in an outright redefinition of consoles in the future with the PS6 and whatever the heck Microsoft calls the next console (XXX box?). ...
