no <3

i need a new domain name if i wanna host it later though. I used to have a good one but i let it expire and some shitty company snapped it up and is trying to sell it for $3k now. There's another one I really want that's been parked for years, but the admin wont respond to my email offers

Are you aware that a ".wtf" TLD exists now?

I even managed to snag my initials as a WTF domain. Considering I don't have a middle name, that's quite the achievement. :P

The whole frontend web-development ecosystem needs a complete overhual. Everyone is doing their own thing without any cohesion, consistency, and concerns for compatibility. There's too many layers of intricacies like webpack, babel, typescript, eslint, css preprocessors, web frameworks, and etc that you gotta know which makes everything look bloated and messy.

When web assembly becomes more mature, hopefully there will be new languages that make frontend programming as comfy as backend programming. Examples should be learned from Qt and Android programming for example.

Holy fuck so much this. HTML is decent for the purpose and JavaScript is tolerable if not ideal, but CSS is just so fucking terrible. Make SASS or something like that standard. You shouldn't need a compiler when the output is a text-based language rather than bytecode of some form. >_>

lol nice, ".gay" is a TLD now too. I eagerly preordered some domains in anticipation, but its SOO stupid, they apparently designate certain domains (like short words, etc) as 'premium' and make them way more expensive. IIRC poop.gay was priced at like $6k or something when a standard .gay domain was like $10 -_-

yeah I agree so much. I'm so grateful my work doesnt involve anything web frontend-related, there's so many frameworks/etc. and I feel like once I learn one it'll be out of style. Whenever i have to do something web based I just stick to good old JS/jquery and HTML/CSS haha.

I use to fuck with this shit back in the early 00s or before templates became the normal.

I suck at math and it drove me crazy figuring shit out.

I also tried to be far too creative than simple.

The problem with templates is that trying to do anything beyond the template is a huge ordeal, and likely wrecks the template.
Oh, and the gross class="my2 px3" garbage junking up the HTML.
