Realistically, as long as it doesnt smell its probably not going to make you sick, but its technically not "safe" to eat.

Take a bite then ask yourself one question.

Does it taste good enough to outweigh the risk?

If yes have at it, if not throw it away.

How warm is your house? Is there any meat in the sauce? Tomatoes dont need refrigeration, so red sauce might be okay, but not white sauce. Meat is questionablesome has enough preservatives to prevent it from going bad overnight.

I've eaten cooked pasta that sat at room temp for too long. It was awful and made me sick. Do not recommend. But that was a long time ago, before I learned to trust my nose. If it smells fine it's probably fine tbh.

When my sister was in Spain one of her roommates made a pork dish one night. He left it out for 3 days and ate it all 3 days. He mustve had a stomach of steel. He did not get sick.

I grew up in a house where leaving food out was pretty normal. Its gross to think about now, but it seems to have given me a stomach of steel.

If your house is cool and sat inside a sealed container, it should be ok. If it is warm or left out in the open, doesn't sound like a good idea.

Bacteria can develop in it. It's why if you read the label/box of pretty much anything they always say "refrigerate unused portions immediately".
