if 200k a year isnt rich then the definition of rich must be subjective. With 200k per year you can stack $1,000,000 in 10 years comfortably. Youre more than well off at that point.

That kind of mindset will make it true. Its not because of "greedy corporations" though. Its because people want to be rich but aren't willing to put in any effort or take any risk. They would rather blame things they can't control like capitalism or greed than take personal responsibility for the things they can.

are you really better?

you were normal and once you went through hard times you claimed to be homeless (lie, you lived with your parents) and suddenly
began hating on landlords and capitalism because you were not doing well, you were ok with all that when you thought you were doing well, even if the rest werent.

bottom line is all you care about is you, and now you shill CCP propaganda because they pay you for it.

I think anyone can get rich in the Ratatouille sense of "a business savvy person can come from anywhere"

But the stuff that lots of mainstream media, as well as motivational speakers will tell you, like "work hard, be honest, follow your 'dream'," is advice of no value. Wealth comes from capital. Even when you think of C-suite people with big reported salaries, their true wealth comes from owning shares of the company and raising the valuation of those shared.

99.999% of people won't work up from the mail room to ownership, if you've ever worked a small fry job for a large company you'll know that there's absolutely positive attention given by management to the entry level associates, you're just there to wring value out of. It's a dead end for wealth and most people don't have the human capital (connections, education, etc) to get a position better than that.

That all said wealth isn't everything and I think people sometimes underestimate the luxuries in the western world that are available even to low income folks. A lot of the tightest squeezes are on people in cities who can't land a higher paying job and the rent is totally out of wack, but lots of those issues are because of bullshit zoning laws as well as foreign investors storing capital in real estate; both of those need to change.

It is also bad that they pass so many anti worker unionization laws

Yeah you would have 1mil if you spent none of it.

In reality making 200k/year is great and more than most people will earn in 4 years for their entire lifetime. But even at 1 million you're still scraping the barrel of the truly rich in the US.

not true. Making 200k per year for a decade, you could spend 80k per year live comfortably and stack 100k per year.

Well, taxes

thats why I said spend 80, the other 20K is taxes. Unless youre saying out of 200K per year more than 20K of it is going to taxes then sure. Depends where you live

edit: I highly underestimated how much taxes would come out of 200k. To stack one million in ten years you would have to live off 50-60k per year. Which is.doable but realistically it might take you closer to 15 to stack the million comfortably.

My homeless stint was in 2017, more than a year before I even created this account. If anything the strengthening of my communist ideals has corresponded with a rise in my material conditions.

Not that I should have bothered responding to this silly nonsense, but there you go.
