Tous'R'Us is closed, even Chuck-E-Cheese's are all gone, and the Nintendo DS is now a retro console. And I was like "oh shit". It was super trippy. It happens to all of us, I guess, and it was that moment I really started to feel adult. But I'm only 22, I still don't know shit about life. Wait until I'm 30 and I actually know what the Hell I'm doing...kinda. But today, police boxes have been pretty much entirely obsolete for decades, and there's almost none left anywhere in England, to the point where people growing up in England today may not even know what they are, and only recognize them at all as the TARDIS. This might be a common trope for time machines, though.
