Not that I read all the emails, but I have to at least change the status of the obviously unimportant ones from unread to read.

I keep the inbox as clean as possible, but my "All Mail" is inching toward 60k. Whenever I see someone with thousands of unread emails, I can't decide which of us is the weirder person.

I made a fresh start, deleted everything, and got it to 0 a few months back. It's been great!

It's always between zero and ten. A lot of times I just "save things for later" then never get around to them.

I don't remember when or why but one day I decided 99 was the new zero and I keep to that number so I'm always on top of new e-mails.

Sometimes I wonder how old those 99 unread e-mails are... i'll do an inbox cleanup someday

1 right now. I keep my inbox empty, and unread items are generally things I want to work on in the near future.

100-500. I have about 70 reserved for "in case I forget/lose it off the drive" things, a smattering of appointment reminders that I never bother to open because the title is enough to remind me when it's sent to my phone, and my library reminder emails that I purge every quarter of a year (and also don't matter unless I'm starting to get them titled as overdue notices.)

EDIT: closer than I thought. Was at 480. Now at 300 after I mass-deleted the library notices.
(I work in said library and check it there, but it's a good backup.)

I would love to have a clean inbox, but I rarely check my email on a PC anymore and it's much easier to just swipe the email notification away on my phone.
