Darmik 08/25/21 11:59:06 PM #1:	I still overall really like the franchise and the games but man it really feels like it has run out of steam for the most part. I can't even really point out anywhere where things have gone wrong (maybe Xbox losing a bit of relevance from the 360 to One). I think it's just a simple case of not really having anywhere else for that gameplay loop to go to attract new people but also not being gone long enough for people to miss it. So the buzz just isn't there anymore. Doesn't help that the multiplayer must be incredinly unforgiving for new comers. I was really into the first two games online and even I'm still intimidated to get back to it outside of modes like Horde. Even Horde mode still feels like a huge commitment if you want to get anything out of it. Oh well. At least I'm still enjoying them. A lot of people will moan that it's not the old Horde but Gears 2-3 Horde Mode is still playable if you really want that. Oh yeah, I haven't tried it yet but apparently "Classic Horde Mode" has been recently added to Gears 5 so that's an option too. Smashingpmkns posted...
