Just a general analysis over a long period of time. Not any one specific event. Black people get far more punitive responses in general, however, on a individual level, it is far too complicated case by case. That black lady getting years of prison for 32 dollars of weed most likely had a legal history (a history largely created by social injustice to begin with)

There is a justice system, and then there is a just-us system.

The problem (for me at least) is if I'm trying to convince/ illustrate this to someone, saying "broad patterns" often isn't as effective as "X happens more to Y" or a specific example that *is* relatively comparable

That an innocent black man is going to wait 3 times longer to get exonerated as a white man.

As you can tell, I didn't read the case and used a hypothetical example. On a case-by-case level, you can't just compare sentences to formulate a narrative. Someone could just as easily cherry pick how black persons in some scenario happened to get an easier sentence.

I sense that you fundamentally don't understand how to convey your argument that systematic racism exists (it does) in a convicing way based off proper statistical analysis. The only thing you are doing is embarrassing yoursel, and providing opportunities for deniers of social injustice to easily shut down your weak arguments.

Still bullshit sentence for weed. I never see that in my prison. Only people in for simply drugs its much harder drugs.

Watched an amusing court cam video the other day. Dude gets arrested for weed and then actually sparks up a joint in the court room think he just got 12 days in jail.

Yeah he was white but he was the type of white person that wouldn't get too much more privellage. Ya know completely trashy looking even came to court in jeans and a baggy hoodie.

Being a felon period makes it harder to get a job. There is a meat packing plaxe around here that preys on that. They hire a lot of felons and everyone ive talked to thats worked there says the working conditions are such a nightmare and thst it literally shortens your lifespan because of how brutally back breaking the job is.

Learned about this when I applied to a shipping warehouse as a young man, thinking it would be easy money, because I was very in shape at the time.

Fucking nope. An older excon there told me how he won't sit down, because after he does, he won't be able to get back up, and I felt that the same on day 1.

And its a wonder they come back to prison. Its society failing them as much as the prison system. Most jobs in the prison are only a few hours a day. At mine anyways. Sewing plant is maybe 8 to 10 hours a day kitchen maybe 6 to 8. But most other jobs barely qualify as part time. And the sewing plant workers come back seemingly still with plenty of energy.
