42 y/o Anthony Mackie is the next CAPTAIN AMERICA as he will succeed Chris Evans in the title role for the 4th movie.

As expected, Kevin Feige's Marvel Studios kept the detail under wraps and it's not known if it will involve Sebastian Stan who married with him in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

This will be Mackie's movie who appeared as the Falcon and the wingman to Captain American who was handpicked by Evans himself to take over his role

They might bring back Chris Evans to send off his character but other than that, this will be the next phase in Marvel's superheroes franchise

I'm interested to see who else is coming back for more.. pretty sure Chris Hemsworth is getting promoted to King while the GotG cast must be getting pretty tired/close to their contracts ending after multiple movies.. Jeremy Renner is passing on the bow to a female

The television show was really underwhelming (to such an extent I'm inclined to believe rumors of cut episodes or plotlines), but that had nothing to do with Mackie's performance, which was great.

Some of the best action moments were how Falcon incorporated his wings and jetpack into his fighting style, I'd love to see what a full blown Marvel film could do with him.

The biggest issue is honestly that the Captain America films have a lot of supporting characters and Falcon is maybe like, the third most memorable after Peggy and Bucky. He really shouldn't have been dusted if they wanted to go this route, he should have had a bigger presence in Endgame. As of now I'm not sure if the character has the recognition needed, but we'll see.

It's still a stupid decision given that Bucky is there and had been the understudy, as well as actually having augmented strength. But, far more importantly, they shouldn't have had anybody stepping in for Evans in the first place.

And EG in general sucked.

Bucky in the comics became cap first iirc . but falcon did eventually become cap so I don't see the issue.
