anime Terra Formars racist?

Solar_Crimson 08/17/21 10:03:11 AM #1:	I heard about this series years ago but mostly forgot about it until recently: https://thekenpire.com/2015/03/17/terra-formars-is-an-obscenely-racist-manga-and-anime-series-but-its-sort-of-hilarious/ The monsters in this series are evolved humanoid cockroaches, and they're supposed to resemble an earlier ancestor of the human species. However... And the main character, described by the author as the "Apex of Mankind" and "Second only to God": Maybe it's all an innocent coincidence, seeing as Japan doesn't have the same history with racism as a country like America does (not that Japan doesn't have racism, and the depictions of Black people in their media has been a rather touchy topic for years... which I guess comes back to this particular topic). --- I often wonder if we are growing as a people... or in fact, regressing. <cite>Solar_Crimson posted [p:957165589] in Is the man...
