Gaawa_chan 08/16/21 10:12:48 PM #6:	Beau of the Fifth Column has done some decent videos on this topic. It's a rather complex one, but basically, yeah. We had 20 years to do what was necessary to make them truly independent and able to stand on their own feet against a swelling and experienced force like the Taliban and we didn't, so of course they caved when we withdrew. Not as bad as what our withdrawals has done to our Kurdish allies as that wasn't actually a lost cause like Afghanistan historically always has been, but it sucks ass all the same. Just one more expensive, bloody failure from the USA that people saw coming as far back as late 2001.
