Only communicates via Snapchat I dont think I could do it. Id rather just text. Im old and can barely use Snapchat, anyway. Do you guys know people like that?

You can write words on pictures, which is what they use. But they also have a chat function that also disappears. Ive use it with my best friend once. I personally dont like my messages to disappear, though

messages dont have to go away immediately on Snapchat. If you tap the message, its saved. You can also set messages to delete 24 hours after viewing.

I have seen that with women I meet on Tinder. Basically a way to communicate without needing to give your phone number or use Tinder's horrible interface. I also have friends who insist on using Facebook and/or Google Messenger.

I don't see it as a huge deal, but as a minimalist I would rather everybody just use one thing so I can delete the superfluous apps.

Thats basically the same as texting with the added benefit of you dont need a paid service (just access to Wi-Fi) to use. Its how I communicate with a friend who refuses to keep service on his phone.

The service reason, or not having the phone number, is probably the only reason Id used the apps to communicate. That way, I can keep the conversations all in the same spot

I thought this would be helpful with something like discord. But I usually end up turning off the notifications so I can watch videos without it going off every couple of seconds
