Funny enough, VRV WAS that unified front until Funi got dumb and made their own. The PS4 app of Funi, while overhauled, still kinda sucks.

I watched 2 episodes of Aquatope on White Sand. The first episode was really good and the second one was kinda dumb, but the potential is there at least.

People working on the translation say there's no page mentioning a part 9 in this issue. If this was truly the end though I feel marketing would probably be in overdrive letting us know about it. While there was no break between parts 7 and 8 there were breaks before and after part 6 so nothing to do but just wait and see what happens

G4 was the "not Adult Swim" destination for me way back. RahXephon, Abenobashi, and some other weird ass lower key shows were on there. Weirdest though was first catching Heat Guy J on MYV2 of all things ..

Anime Unleashed did not survive long after G4 bought TechTV, unfortunately, but yeah there was some super obscure shit on there. It's where I discovered Serial Experiment Lain, Gungrave, Boogiepop Phantom, Crest of the Stars, Silent Mobius, and Vandread, so as far as I'm concerned any misses it had are acceptable.

I don't care for Wolf's Rain but that was also on Adult Swim so I'm not gonna count it. Other than that, almost all of these are classics. Dual was... something, and watching COLORFUL in 2021 is certainly going to hit differently that it did as a teenager, but...a majority of these are banger classics. Whoever was making the calls for what to bring over for this thing was a fucking legend. Finally found a new show to watch: Classroom of the Elite. Not sure if it can stick the landing the first episode blew me away with, but it's the first in about ten different shows I tried to hook me completely so far. The fanservice shots are already getting old though. For a show with a premise that doesn't need it, it is fucking aggravating.

Finally caught up on the MHA anime. Kinda wish I hadn't. I think I'm just gonna read the manga now and catch back up if the production gets half-decent again. I assume it's just that Bones are stretched thin between the yearly movies and the actual series? At least the manga has been good for a while and isn't showing signs of slowing down.

Yes. After a couple more episodes, I'm all in on finishing. The comedy is dumb but written well. The mystery of what the fuck is going on with this "afterlife school" and "Angel" is what's carrying me though. Hearing about some of the character's death circumstances was the real kicker though.
