Power leveled BTN and CUL to 90 today. Now I can repair and meld my own gear. \o/

Took several hours but I cleared the second Extreme. And the other melee was very very rude to me about using the LB. In a clear party. Like swearing at me. Then he kept dying. That actually tilted me a bit.

Might have wanted to farm a good parse lol. Saw a post on reddit about that attitude a couple days ago. LBing deprives them of a little of their potency and thus a little of their overall DPS... even if fast kill time is all that matters.

Square suspended the sale of the game and gave everyone 2 weeks additional free playtime.

Yeah it weirds me out in pug parties when people are like "okay going for a gold parse, so at these times I need people to do this that and the other thing. drg give me the tether or I'll kick you." and I just sit there thinking "who cares about your parse? when the next extreme/savage/ultimate comes out, nobody will ever look at this fight on fflogs ever again."

these are midcore players who are trying to bluff their way into hardcore raid groups by stomping (relatively) trivial content very hard

Relevant content does weird things to people. It's that "Skip Soar or disband" mentality again, often from people unable to skip or handle the one mechanic in the first place.

My Brd is 90, my Whm will probably be 90 by tonight, and I have made a list of items to gather for and craft for leves for I can start leveling my crafters (as well as inch toward the 120 leve achievements for DoH). I'm rank 3 in the last two zones for shared fates, so far, so I'll be using the other four zones to level either a caster or a melee next.

Start playing SMN today. Got it to 82. It's fun! In dungeons it feels very powerful. It's very bursty, and also the rotation is way simpler than I thought it would be. I'm actually considering raiding on it lol

Yeah its super straightforward in a good way. Your next step is pretty obvious at all points and you have a LOT of instant casts

Man I need 2 zones for 2 of the tt cards but fates get farmed so hard it takes forever. Then I need to do ARR Ixatl quests to unlock a guy for TT battles for the achievement card.

I don't have any level 3 shared fates yet, but I have 30+ in 3 zones. I'm still level 1 in Elpis >_>

recently got back into TT, were there any wildly useful cards from the last few expansions i should get

i grabbed most of the 5* ones i could see that had no real requirements like stormblood and endwalker alphinaud/alisae (chaos rule sucks btw)

Hisui & Kurenai has been my 5-star for forever

shadow bahamut. It plays off matoya as a center opener then fill in with high side value cards like cicil and nael

My Drg is now 83, halfway to 84. Reaching rank 3 in Labyrinthos was a pain in the rear, but it's done; I a working on the third zone now (20/60). While I was at it, I spent gemstones on materials I'll need for crafting leves, so I don't have to worry about that later on.

On a note for role quests, I'm liking how the lv90 duties ask you to use your role abilities. I've done tank and healer ones so far, but will do phys. ranged once I have appropriate accessories on my Brd. Tank battle has us use silence periodically, like twice or thrice, and healer is easier if you have Esuna handy for one of the NPCs. Who will need a lot of heals. Especially during the soft enrage at the end. I don't yet know what the others ask for.

I wish I didn't have to work, because my goodness there's so much to do.

Are you kidding me right now. Static finally all had free time to do the Extremes together. I sat in queue for 5 hours. Played 10 minutes. random 90002 error.

lol i got 90002'd twice today, once right before i was about to finish the final boss of a trust dungeon

im thinking real hard about taking xi up on its offer to play for free for a couple weeks

ngl I do want to play XI since I've never played it and I am curious to try it. But the thought of installing it scares me. lol

its a loooooooooooot less shitty than it used to be. when i started in 2015~ it was a 10~ hour affair; the secret tech everyone used was torrenting the new files, putting them in, and letting playonline validate them. now it seems like they've finally fixed their shit and it goes as fast as your internet is

I started working on my crafters and gatherers. My Ltw leveled to 81 just doing enough Gaja Leather for a bunch of leves, so I'll probably have stuff left over. lol

Finally got 575 ilvl, then I tried Zodiark Extreme and parsed 82. And that was with pugs. Imagine what I could do with my static. >:D

I need to do the Extremes still.

Well, tomorrow morning is P1-4 normal. I'll get to see how close or far I am in predicting the raid's story, and we'll get to enjoy some fun casual-level fights.

The boss of the raid has me like WHAT IS A MAN? A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF SECRETS!

Got SMN/SCH to 90. I really want to try raiding on SMN. Leveling PLD next. Going to do 3 DPS, 1 healer, 1 tank repeat until all 90.

i can't see myself levelling another tank until they nerf war, its just so overpoweringly fun to play right now. i'm convinced a good war could 1 tank 3 dps expert dungeons wall to wall without problems, especially if one of those other dps was a summoner or a reaper to provide a little extra sustain

Or they can do what SE has been know to do more often than not (at least so far as XIV goes), and buff the other tanks. It's not that War needs a nerfbat so much as the others, especially Drk, need help. Even Gnb has some jank at the moment, and it was arguably the best in ShB. Nerfing War will only hurt matters, and potentially cause less people to tank altogether.

at the moment every class has a niche (drk is king of opener dps, by a lot!) but its just that warrior sits very far at the top of the casual niche... which extends to prog niche. which is too accessible too many for 1 class

edit: im drunk but the synopsis of wat im saying is war is fuckin' hella atm compared to other tanks and its wtf

War is 18 levels in Barbarian and 2 levels in Cleric.

Nice. I'm 43 vouchers into that grind, getting Rdm from 82 to 89-and-two-thirds (because caster role quests) and most of the remaining jobs to 81. During that time, I also picked up mats for crafting leve turn-ins. I suspect I'll be at around 300-350 vouchers when everything is 90.

My crafters are almost 90 now. I need a handful more allowances, some materials, and to finish the second Studium Delivery for Bsm and Cul so they aren't too far behind the other crafters in terms of exp. I already popped the achievement for 120 unique weaver leves, ahead of the others, but this upcoming round of leves ought to pop the other seven achievements too. Then I'll knock out the remaining crafter Studium Deliveries, as well as Btn/Min while I finish leveling those two.

Fisher... may take a wee bit just out of priorities. lol

I did the thing with the crafters and their 120-leve achievements. Now I gotta finish leveling gatherers and complete the Studium quests, to say nothing of my remaining combat jobs. This, however, is going to have a fun little effect on my ranking here, come tomorrow mid afternoon:

I spent all day gathering. Got purple scrip gear for MIN and BTN, then filled out the right side with crafted accessories and tools. Got a bunch of folklore mats and sands from reducing ephemeral mats. So hopefully the stuff for crafted will be pretty much covered for Tuesday. Will probably also try to cap my aphorism and purple scrips in case there's new stuff I'll need for that.

He said NFTs and blockchains are the future of gaming, and he thinks "playing for fun" should be replaced with "playing for contribution" i.e. "we know you buy our games and pay monthly subs and buy DLCs, but we don't think we have enough of your money."

Got DNC and CRP to 90, and got ARM from 80 to 88 \o/
Gonna level MCH next for combat, then after ARM I'll go for BSM I guess. And then I think I'll use custom delivery weeklies for LTW, cus I need to spend my gemstones on vouchers! Which I haven't done yet cus I've been gathering and crafting for 3 days lol

I'm doing custom deliveries on LTW from now on cus f doing that the normal way lol

I will admit, they went a smidge overboard in the number of leathers we need to level everything. I think my Ltw used up less allowances for leves then the other crafter classes as a result of making so much leather HQ.

From this week's custom deliveries, I ought to pick up the Crp and Arm Masterbooks, and maybe Bsm if I have enough white scrips to spare. Since I tend to pick out the two clients who are offering a bonus for the week, that should be... *checks math* ...360 scrips shy of the third book, actually. I'd grind out the scrips, but I'm working on the combat leveling, including the Trusts. I'm not in that huge of a hurry to make those missing 580 pieces for my main jobs.

Heck, at some point soon, there will come a point where I'll just slap the 570 tome gear on most of the alt jobs so I have room in my Armory.

My Blm is 90. Thancred, Shtola, and Uri are a run of the 89 dungeon from there as well. I don't like how after five runs--enough for any other EW dungeon before it, or most ShB ones--of the 87 dungeon, the Trusts wind up 206k exp from 89, meaning a sixth run is in order. I also have to have another DPS on standby for the 83 dungeon because the exp buff I get from the fc only applies to my character, not to my Trusts; so I have the spare DPS run the 83 dungeon once with whichever group of Trusts.

So I'll be doing Smn next with the twins and G'raha, save for the one dungeon run on Mnk. Then I'll do Estinien with my Sam, during which-point I'll swap the healer and tank around to get them to 90. After that I guess I will have to run the 89 dungeon on a tank or healer to get Estinien, Ali, and Shtola to 90. So I'll do Ast next.

Also: I need to hop into Bozja for Sge and Rpr. Maybe I'll get lucky and acquire that last field note. Ha!

I suppose once that's done, including Sge bei5ng finished with Bozja, I'll get that one to 90 to finish my caster/healer jobs, and go from there.

Made all of my 560 crafter accessories this morning as well as the chest, pants and hat. Got GSM to 86. LTW I pushed over into 82.
