Was gonna make some jokes about no censorship, but if they are ok banning that I'm going to guess they will end up banning this at some point.

Honestly can't blame ISIS though, they want to recruit the people who accomplished something they couldn't do.

I'm not pro anyone but trump was better and if you cant tell just by going to the grocery store and the gas station you have a problem. That stupid 300 I get a month for having a kid literally all goes to inflation. My house i bought 4.5 years ago for 129K is now worth 221K. Something is not right about that. Democrats preach the rich are too rich but why in the hell would a rich person just accept higher taxes? They just raise the prices of their services and goods. Gas is WAY more than it was even before COVID so that is partially why ground beef is $6 a pound and eggs are $3 instead of .59.

USA politics are insane at the moment and it is really hard to watch people fight over it when honestly both sides are stupid.

OPEC and Russia have more influence over gas prices than the US president.

Housing market is also an inherited problem, not created by Biden. Housing market is still in recovery from the crash of 2007/2008, of which the cause of that wasn't necessarily tied to any single president, either

Honestly, I don't think anyone is really prepared for it. China does seem like they have adapted to it a little better, but I don't know if anyone is prepared for how bad this could get. The gas shortage created by that recent cyberattack is just a small sample of the potential of cyber warfare. Imagine when people start dealing with extended water, gas, or power shortages. The recent housing market bubble is definitely heavily related to covid though. I'm hearing from realtor people that it's starting to cool down now but I haven't seen it yet. And it sucks because my family and I are finally ready to buy a house and then this craziness happened. In Atlanta, it seems particularly bad too. Houses are swallowed up immediately and people are easily getting 20 to 30k over asking price which is already higher than it should be

Yeah covid had a definite impact, both positive and negative. Positive in that a lot of people weren't spending and were able to save for a home and now they're ready to buy, and a lot of what's happening now is due to the fact that there's so few new houses being built, and there's such a high demand that when houses go to market there's literally bidding wars for them because there's such little inventory.

I read a report (I'll try to find a link) that said we're seeing some of our lowest inventory counts in decades, and that building regulations coupled with a shortage in labor is contributing to the spike in prices. I recall them mentioning that duplexes and condos were illegal to build in some municipalities, and that regulations need to be updated to feed the market needs. I'll look for a link...

Ah yeah, labor shortage makes a lot of sense.. And that's why it's so crazy that I've seen so many people I know buying houses. People that I know aren't loaded, too. But, to be fair, they were mostly buying towards the beginning of all this. I'm honestly glad that we decided to wait instead of probably overpaying for a house that isn't the ideal home for us. I feel like a lot of middle class folks made a mistake buying during this time because the bubble is probably gonna burst soon

A massive problem that doesn't directly correlate with who is the president. And most of that property appreciation they describe likely occurred under the last administration, so it makes no sense that they connected those dots as a Democratic Party problem, lol

There was a guy about 15 (maybe twenty) years ago, who was doing his doctoral thesis on the infrastructure of the United States, showed up on a couple of the pundit shows to talk about how bad the infrastructure in the US is, the DoD swooped in and classified his entire work, as it could have been used to cripple the US. He never got to argue his thesis, but fairly certain he went to work for the DoD

They prefer the term ISIL, (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) but they hate it when you call them Daesh, which is close to some kind slur in Arabic.

It was only a matter of time before Al'Queda and Y'allQueda teamed up, both want to destroy America and the Western way of life.

I think WFH has also played a large role in that. Not having to live near work has opened up the option of moving for a ton of people, who are moving to places with no regard for the local job market (since they already have a job they'll be doing remotely), many of which were not previously in high demand and therefore didn't have much housing supply already available. That spike in demand in areas with little surplus housing stock coupled with a labour shortage and inflated material prices (both consequences of Covid) has left housing supply scrambling to catch up.
