You basically have to stay in the boat when possible and keep moving as much as possible. I got destroyed the first time when I left the boat and tried fighting the enemies that way.

Fought the pyro hypostasis for the first time in the Abyss and I already can say I hate it more then any other weekly boss. Your DPS window is way too small compared to any of the others.

Believe it or not, you can DPS it the whole time. I made the same mistake at first as well, expecting there to be a DPS window like the other hypostasis bosses, but actually it can take damage at all times.

I finally ascended my PJWS to level 90. Time to do exactly what I was doing before with only a marginal increase in damage.

I keep my weapons at 80/90. Is it worth getting them to 90/90? Like with character levels it feels like a lot of resources for little gain.

It's basically never worth it unless you need base attack scaling.

It's very much worth it coz everything scales on that base damage and it's extremely cheap and easy to go lv80->90 in case of weapons

It takes hundreds of crystals to go from 80-90 and you get like +50 attack for it. You can raise several weapons from 70-80 for the cost of going from 80-90

Increasing BASE damage can go a long way though. People seem to forget each point of base damage will be multiplied several times by atk%/talent%/crit% to end up being a pretty significant boost in final output. Obviously it might not be worth fully leveling every 4*, but most 5*s would definitely be worth it since they aren't getting outclassed as fast as 4*s.

PS: all catalysts are garbage compared to other weapons except Skyward. I shudder to think what someone like Klee or NingGuang could do with a catalyst equivalent of PJWS. The new catalyst coming looks potentially good but also seems to be finely tuned to Kokomi.

My first 5* nearly wiped my stash and opened my eyes to do dailies, switch expeditions etc.

I've gotten 3 Ayakas and 1 Diluc in 90 pulls holy fucking shit

Like what the bloody fuck

Well all of them besides Homa and Mistsplitter were from pities on the standard from the beginning. Literally got 3 Skyward Prides in a row. My Amos was the first 5* I got. But weapons are for some reason my lucky point in this game

I got Amos off banner while pulling for Thundersplitter. I'm not complaining necessarily but the weapon banner is still a rip off.

After watching the video of Tectone going for Homa, I just couldn't ever convince myself to pull until a pity. My limit is two 10-pulls max.

My character banner luck is terrible, which is why having C2 Ayaka blows my mind.

My character to weapon ratio on standard is pretty much 1:1 so far 2 of each. I had to forgo leveling the 2nd one for a bit lol. I don't pull on weapon banner so for a while I thought they gave mystic gems as summons

I pull on them more than I used to because I've run out of things to upgrade characters with due to resin limits so better weapons has been the main avenue of upgrading characters further. I also have a higher priority on pulling constellations for existing characters than I do pulling for new ones unless I need them to fill a gap in my team. This is why I'll be pulling on Yoimiya and Raiden but not Kokomi. I might pull Kokomi's weapon based on what leaks say about Yae Mika though.

C6 Yanfei is pretty damn good. She can spam charged attacks basically stamina-free and they hit pretty hard. That'll be a fun buff.

Ayaka's C2 seems a lot better than it reads on paper, based on my limited experience using it in the spiral Abyss. It makes the range so much wider, making it a lot more of a true AOE.

It says that the mini ones aren't supposed to do as much damage 20% of the original burst damage), but in my experience they do quite a lot.

But the most significant aspect that makes it much better than it looks is that all three can hit the same enemy at the same time, if it's a big one. Which means your burst essentially gets +40% total damage, which makes it way more powerful against large single target enemies.

Tldr for my Ayaka so far:

C0: Very good. More consistent DPS and much better cryo synergy/application than Eula, although Eula's burst does dramatically outscale Ayaka's.

C1: Really doesn't add much, which is surprising because mathematically it looks like it should. My Ayaka's E can crit for like 40k damage so it's nice to have available more often, plus it regenerates energy, but I find that using her E more frequently clashes with her need to use her dash to reapply cryo.

C2: Quite a large increase in overall damage from her Q. Being much wider, she becomes significantly more useful on floors with a lot of enemies, but more importantly, she takes down single target bosses much faster.

If I had to choose between C3 Eula and C2 Ayaka, honestly it boils down to a couple of things:

Eula seems deliberately designed to be a hyperinvest speed clear character in the Abyss. To that end, she's very nearly the best character in the entire game for that one niche. But she falls apart in endurance fights because her DPS is highly inconsistent due to her need to keep up several different buffs simultaneously.

Ayaka honestly reminds me of a combination of Keqing and Diluc. Her main attack DPS is pretty good but her charged attacks are much stronger than her normals. Combined with her need to dash to apply weapon cryo, she's a bit stamina starved. Her Q charges much faster than Eula's but does less damage in most situations. That said, her burst can also trigger elemental reactions, unlike Eula's.

Eula is better if you hyperinvest her and you're interested mainly in fast Abyss clears.
Ayaka is a better main carry DPS overall.

To be fair Hu Tao can just use burst right before her E's duration ends and just wait out the effect with her E cooldown

He gave himself a vision because he wanted to live "normal"

Venti kept using his archon powers by resonating with the tree that resonated with Celestia. Zhongli could do something similar if he wanted but that defeats the purpose of his intended goal to not use Archon powers at all.

Archon powers come by resonating with Celestia. Exactly how you do that isn't fully explained but you start with a vision and then somehow you get the vision to resonate with Celestia. The vision then turns into a Gnosis and you become an Archon.
