Went there last year in february.

Willie Mae's Scotch House, for some premium fried chicken.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otMpiOhVmxg

There was a collapsed building prominently near the French Quarter.

I enjoyed seeing traditional jazz, also sometimes some talented musicians in bars playing more contemporary music with jazz instruments.

Saw some mardi gras parades. Pretty cool.

Think I heard you have to look outside the city if you want to see Cajun culture.

Walk around the garden district for sightseeing big old pretty fancy mansions.

Pissed my pants, because I went to the bathroom half an hour ago, and my friends refused to believe I had to go to the bathroom again. You see, when you urgently need to go and decide you found a spot to pee, your brain loses control before you get the spot to actually go. Alcohol was involved even though I wasn't belligerent.

If the place's name says world famous fried chicken, it's not good.

Ate at a nice restaurant. It was either michelin star or had a famous chef, forgot. But it was really good. Somewhere in the french quarter. Wasn't too expensive for what it was.

Had a great vacation there a few years ago. Parked our car in a lot a couple blocks away from Bourbon St and someone got stabbed to death next to it. Also at one point an asian woman asked me if I wanted a sexy massage.

The food was all incredible though and everyone I met was cool. 10/10 pretty good city

I'd argue that there is never a "correct" pronunciation of a place name except that which the locals use.

So far too damn hot to enjoy any food except breakfast.
The city definitely has a unique vibe but Ive already spent +$100 hanging out and helping out the homeless here.

French Toast was the better breakfast compared to Ruby Slipper. Slipper didnt even have real maple syrup.
but everything down here is suffering from the lack of experienced staff. Everywhere is help wanted signs.
