The 'Old Wounds' quest was kinda fun, even if the murderer ended up being the investigator's partner. A little lame, but it was nice for awhile, just doing investigations (and thefts) instead of fighting the umpteenth monster tiger.

This orc-vs.-elf duel mission was kinda fun, too, but mostly because of the orc's commentary. He won the duel by just punching the Altmer in the face for a OHKO, haha.

This monk academy in Shimmerene has about 100 wardrobes that aren't considered stealing. Should definitely remember to come back here from time to time to pillage recipes. I think I bought an apartment here, so it shouldn't cost me anything anyway.

Lemme guess: Nocturnal's magical key unlocks it in a jiff for the enemies.

One thing about this game that sucks: how slow your bounties decay. They should decay like your wayshrine extortion fees, but maybe 2-3 times as slow, rather than what they are now, which is about 10-15 times slower.

I've had my fill of Summerset now. Gonna try to unlock scrying in Solitude, I guess, since I have all these expiring leads to do.

Hmm, Solitude almost seems the same as in Skyrim. Probably won't even need to consult the map that often. Always liked going to that northern coastal cave as a stealth archer to kill bandits...ahh, simpler times.

I wonder if I'll be able to get to Blackreach and that vampire island from the original Skyrim/Dawnguard. You'd think after adding places like those, they'd be available here, too, even if Solitude is only one-eighth of the whole region (well, I guess it hasn't united yet, but whatever).

Bought a room in Solitude to avoid those stupid wayshrine fees, too. Feels good, milk-drinker.

Ive played quite a bit of eso and i definitely agree questing in the base game was Garbage with only some redemption in the aesthetics of the areas but some of the dlcs turned this around for me and made it a great game.

Morrowind and clockwork city duo carried this game for me but stay away from orsinium unless you are looking for maximum dissapointment.

I suggest you do dungeons with the group finder its quick easy and very rewarding then theres pvp where you wont have fun but by bashing your head into a brick wall a couple times you can buy a purple quality weapon with pvp points.

The most fun imo is doing dummy stupid low quality joke rp with a bunch of people thats the best endgame an mmo can have

Hmm, not sure if I have the Clockwork City DLC. Haven't even touched Morrowind stuff yet. Not sure where Orsinium is (DLC?), but now I want to see if it sucks or not.

I've unlocked a few dungeon finders, but haven't really bothered too much. I do agree that joke RPing in Elder Scrolls games is great, though. I really want to make an orc mage named Thruldok the Stupid or something, just as a lark. Orc mages are the best, lmao

I'm pretty sure I have just the base game, got it for relatively cheap but even then I can't justify the microtransactions bullshit.

Yeah, there's a lot of microtransaction trash. In the store, they're selling a house NPC for $15, lmao. Just awful. Reminds me of how Fallout 4 had people pay for the "privilege" of using in-game assets on its old season pass. I guess it's possible to buy some of the MTX jank with "seals of endeavor," but the good stuff costs several thousand per and you can't get expansions that way. I've only gotten about 300 without really paying attention, so...hooray.

The Blackwood Collection also didn't even include stuff that came before it, like the Thieves Guild and Dark Bro'hood...although now that I read some reviews, apparently they're grindy junk that many people hated, outside of perhaps some new skills. Springheeled Jack is rolling over in his boot-less grave.

But it's not all bad. If you work really, really hard, you can buy the Spicy Soup emote! Talk about rewards!

Southern elsweyr is pretty great i even go there occasionally to do dailies to unlock motiffs and get some xp from dragons. The story didnt get me hooked really but at the time i started doing it i was very bored with questing as a whole so its probably better than i experienced it as and the dragon slaying was fun for sure but i never did do anything in northern elsweyr so that might be a whole lot different. The khajit npcs have the best voice actors in the whole game for sure tho so thats a big plus

I cant remember what was the name of the dlc for orsinium but its the orc city somewhere in the north western parts and the storyline of the area can be summed up with boring characters boring story twists boring motives and a cool but somewhat depressing landscape.

Oh btw for the passive dont care summoner gameplay i believe sorcerers cover that somewhat but its still super inefficient to just stand around and wait for summons to do things especially when sorcerers also have the option to be one of the best most active dps classes (atleast in my opinion)

I don't have the Orsinium DLC, so I guess I'm not missing out on too much stuff...although I heard there's some armor sets that boost magic damage, so mages love having that. Oh well...I'll just level normally and equip random things like a putz. I do wish I could summon more stuff, but I've mostly been doing those group battles in areas and healing people (and using Graveyard to hit bosses with major breach), so it's been tolerable. Getting kinda sick of my main damage source being these stupid flaming skulls, though. Haven't killed any Elsweyr dragons yet, though.

Some of the Solitude area is kinda boring, but it was nice comparing the "ancient" stuff to the "new" Skyrim. Meridia's shrine was still there, although that one stone (The Steed?) isn't in the mountains anymore. Blackreach was a little more enjoyable, 'cause I love dwarven stuff, but I lost a bit of interest after awhile. Maybe if that one evil-looking mansion was available, I'd care more about scrounging up ESObux to buy it, but naw. This one's road leads him to warm sands.

Gonna probably switch to that when I unlock it (at 47/50 right now) so I can do cheapo healing during dragon fights and stuff. Already beat the Elsweyr questline, but I might hang around a bit and try to do some dungeons, etc.

Picking the right armor and weapon early can save you a lot of trouble personally i started off as a templar and thinking ill go for cool looks and its gonna be fine i took heavy armor a two handed weapon and the magic caster skills for templar which of course ended up being an enormous mistake then i just made a new character as a sorcerer and i enjoyed it so much more it became my main anyways.

If youre going for magical stuff light armor and a destruction staff is probably the most optimal but dont worry if you wanna go for cool stuff rather than meta stuff i didnt have trouble playing through stories and stuff so you probably wont either.

On a sidenote enjoy every little chance you get to talk with sotha sil imo he has the best dialogue in the game and doesnt appear very often.

I'd wear more light armor stuff, but my crafting is mediocre (everything at LV10 or lower), so I just end up with a smattering of magicka-boosting equipment. I actually got a 5-piece set that gave me 7000 extra magicka or something, but now that new stuff is unlocking, maybe I'll slowly find a replacement. Currently sitting in a dungeon, farming a respawning necromancer, back in the second of the Summerset Isles. No real reason I went back, other than wanting to tackle some dungeons I left behind.

As for a half-power, half-magic build, yeah, that does sound back. Some of the necromancer skills can be morphed into stamina abilities, though, so maybe those wouldn't be so bad overall. I'm going straight magicka, though -- all 50+ points went into it. Maybe that's why I constantly get my ass kicked by dragons and stuff that do 20,000+ damage, haha. (I did invest a few in HP-boosting perks, though, so there is that.)

Was originally using Auridon 'cause I just happened to be there, but then I saw you can look on Auridon, which is the size of Rhode Island if 99% of it fell into the sea. Really easy to search stuff there (no wayshrines needed!) and none of the treasure spawns seem to be on that southern beach no one wants to visit -- hooray!

I recently started a magicka templar, going with all light armor and one heavy. Game is easy mode with the puncturing sweeps skill, it's the best build for solo content imo.

The dark brotherhood dagger just lets you murder civilians instantly from stealth and if you do it safely you wont get a bounty for it which makes it wonderful for pickpocketing since you can reset the NPCs that you are working on without any negatives.

Didnt bother getting it myself but i saw a lot of people doing it while i was pickpocketing for some daily missions and that helped me aswell since they reset the mobs for me too.
