Saw a reply to someone else on the Genshin board, telling them to "run a real team". Ignoring the douchiness of it, I decided to run Morgana (Sucrose, no Venti) for the first time. Still got bodied a bunch of times, but I finally beat it. Totally not worth the 4 Mystic Enhancement Ore

In a desperate bid for BAAAAAAAAL primos, I finally finished off the rest of the hangout events I've been putting off because of sheer laziness (only did Bennett (best boy) and Noelle Part 1(to unlock Part 2)).

Was ok. Even though I like him, Chongyun's was a pain to complete all routes since you had to repeat super long chunk of texts multiple times... The others weren't as bad as this.

Going off memory since it was a while ago, hang-out rankings:

6. Barbara

Bennett and Barbara have some obnoxious game-overs, and the writing in Barbara's isn't even that engaging. I just don't enjoy Diona's character. I had literally no idea who Chongyun was before his event, but it was okay I guess? Bennett's was mostly better aside from having to restart it more. Noelle easily trounces everyone for hangouts.

Leyline overflow OH YEAH though I think Im close to 1k purple books now >_>. I got a lot of units at low levels since I dont use them ever. Maybe Ill grab Mora from a few while the event is live. Artifact RNG hell is something I wish could go away. Im not asking for perfect ones every run, but goddamn it gets so tiring running a domain over and over and over for weeks and not having anything worthwhile to use from it. Can I at least get some kind of item to change the main stat Mihoyo :(

I might even have a decent bow to give her too since I have a variety of 4*s for them. There's two ways to play her is my understanding, and the 4 piece of other one in the ER/EM domain is the best for E before Q, but you'll usually see more damage from Q before E, and that wants 2 piece Crimson/2 piece any 18% ATK set(such as the other one in the ER/EM domain).

Just another 2 days before we say goodbye to Yoimiya. I'm looking forward to seeing some hands-on guides that actually explain Raiden and Sara rather than listening to a bunch of esoteric garbage from the tooltip descriptions. Seeing as I'm sitting on the pity line, plan is to trigger pity, pull until Sara, and then re-evaluate if I lose the 50/50 or if Sara doesn't come before second pity. I probably stop short in that case and wait for the reviews.

To be honest, regarding the hangouts, I didn't really love any of them that much, they were all only okay. But I still like that they exist. Otherwise a lot of characters fall by the wayside. Whether I care about the characters as a whole or not is easily the biggest factor in whether I'm enjoying a gacha game. So I hope they start adding more hangouts once we're past the Inazuma story. I got a little concerned when 1.6 didn't have any, and I don't think they're that popular in general, but I'd still be disappointed if they stop doing them.

The only Hangout I've done is Barbara, and I only went through it once. I've fully intended to do all of them since they released (except Diona, I'm hoping they re-dub it with her original VA), but I always get caught up doing something else.

I will say that I really liked Yoimiya's story quest. Shame only the 5*s have been getting those.

Lately, maybe. Lisa had a quest to herself where you went around looking for unreturned books and Xiangling had a quest to win a cook-off. One could argue the prereq quest for fighting the wolf was Amber's or Razor's.

Yeah, I checked the quest list. The wolf quest was Razor's but each of the 4* Knights got one (in fact, every Knight has gotten one) as well as the Xiangling quest you mentioned and Xingqui. But how long ago was the Xingqui quest?

I guess you can also count Yanfei? I think she was tied to the Serenitea Pot

Fuck Sucrose is on Sara banner. Shes already C5 for me and like 3 or 4 and basically all my pulls of her were when she wasnt even featured. Im scared

Mine is C4. I doubt I'm going to try for Sara constellations, but I fully expect Sucrose to be C6 by the end of tomorrow.

Sara is all Im trying for. I wouldnt mind a C for Xiangling since it would power up her Ult and shes always in my roster.

Sucrose is actually the only launch 4 star I'm missing, so I'm glad she showed up here. Xiangling is a big miss, though.

Noelle will definitely show up on future banners. I got dupes for months after getting the final copy I needed from the shop. No regrets cuz C6 Noelle slaps hard, but there's definitely no worries about her future appearances.

I want to get Sara on this banner for sure...although I'll be perpetually sad that C6 will elude me for a long time, as that's gonna have some nutty potential from what I've seen.

Got a Dragons Bane Spear, Xiangling (C4) and 2 Saras with the like 35~ Fate I had on me. Not terrible.

So is there a way to get to Inazuma before you go there in the story? I just got Aloy and all her upgrade materials come from there. I need Spectral Husks which apparently only drop from enemies in that region. Kind of a bummer, I just started a few weeks ago and am still going through the Liyue story, and it sure would be nice to have a bow user that isn't Amber.

You can *try* to Kaeya bridge there from Liyue, but I don't recommend it considering you'll probably get blasted by lightning when you're almost there.

Is anyone else feeling overwhelmed with how much there is to do in the game right now? It would have been different back during release when I had no problem playing the game for long hours daily until I used up all the content and had to rely on only resin and daily commissions, but I feel like my foot is on the back burner right now. I never did finish all the quests and exploration in 2.0 before we have a new patch here -- which was partially on purpose, granted. I really can't choose to do that in 2.1, though, given that there are bosses with character materials or weekly talent items that I can't just let slip through the cracks.

Plus the number of world events have me constantly trying to track everything that's been happening during these opening seven weeks while simultaneously poking around the world before everyone spoils all the quests for me and doing all my regular daily stuff that existed beforehand. Not to mention new characters and new artifacts means I want to put more time into a focus on farming, but I've barely touched my stockpile of fragile resins because I just haven't been motivated to continue for that long.

It's not that long hours of Genshin is bad. Many games demand more of your time. But we're suffering whiplash for the second time. And I'm not sure if going from too little to too much to do is better or worse than the other way around. It was a brutal transition the first time. It's rough this time around, too, and the pendulum will likely swing back the other way before long. And this is coming at a time when my other major game is asking for more time and I'm also trying to remember what it was like to play other games. To say nothing of RL demands.

List of things I "need" to do in Genshin tomorrow, in this order:

1. Daily artifact pick-ups
2. Commissions
3. Finish the new quests to unlock La Signora fight
4. Fish
5. Farm talent books to max out (as best as I can) Raiden
6. Continue with farming for Sara as resin permits. (Spoilers: It won't.)
7. Check out the new event, which I haven't looked at at all

And if I'm motivated to continue, there's plenty of content left to explore. However, my hands have hurt the last few days from gripping the controller too much (partially because of another game) and I may have to quit early or attempt to play KB+M. But I'm thinking I'll start my day with an AM session, then go off and do other stuff, and maybe return later on. May stream.

I always thought the game had a great content design where you could comfortably pick however much you wanted to play. You can skip all the time sinks if you want.

But now there's so much story content that it is overwhelming. There's lots of gates in the story too, so you have to grind through missions just to see the new stuff. I still haven't seen inazuma because of that. It also sucks to have to skip side missions because you don't have time.
