There was a Funnel Endurance (can't remember which year) where he was sitting on one of the support struts and very easy to spot, but other than that, I don't really bother looking.

Can't say I'm much a fan of doing disqualifications in a competition between inanimate objects, but y'know.

I think it's good for lending itself to the illusion of them being real. Like you'd see something like this in a real sport, part of the charm to me is how they treat these marbles like real athletes. It might not be the most "fair" thing, but I think it's on brand.

Yeah, I get the reasoning behind it, it's just not how I've personally ever engaged with the channel.

Either way, though, the flipside of presenting it as real is that you control the narrative in a situation like that. Just as easy to say, "Event officials took a look at the incident and have determined there to be no ill intent or rulebreaking." There's always a way to maintain that illusion they've created without actually impacting any results or whatever.

I finally caught up and I am low key more hype on what the Thunderbolts are doing right now than anyone else. They have a small chance to be able to auto qualify for next year without medaling which is crazy.

Right? They've been stuck in 7th with people below and above them switching around for a few events now, and them being a medal's worth of points back with 0 medals is amazing, esp considering where the *other* team with 0 medals currently is.

Team Momo really missed an opportunity to widen the gap there with many of the higher ranked competitors sitting out that final heat. Poor form to only finish 7th.

Thunderbolts are indeed having a fun run on the standings. It feels like Green Ducks are fading a bit so I hope Thunderbolts can keep this "streak" up for as long as possible.

Rojo Tres, assuming they were the one that got dump trucked by CCE last round seemed to still be feeling the affects. A shame to see such a dirty move having further reaching effects.

And also a congrats to Gogo for earning their first medal as an individual performer. Always a nice moment to see them on the medal stand for the first time.

Thunderbolts' magic run continues. Also Mellow Yellow are really turning it up down the stretch. What a great run of performances.

UGH I'm happy the tbolts finally got a medal but man they got robbed so hard at the end there, stupid ball bearing. But WOOOO finally a medal! Well within striking distance of that top spot now!

I lol'd at the top 2 being the first 2 out.

Also this event was strangely ultra hype for me having grown used to watching Granady's Trackmania COTD vids. That miracle survival by Indigo Swarm after getting knocked into a ball bearing pathway was incredible.

What a roller coaster of an event.

Crazy how close this league suddenly got. Was hoping the Thunderbolts would break their drought with a gold, but alas.

It's funny at this point how often the orangers collapse late into an event.

Green Ducks have been sliding down the standings for awhile now and it's sad to see. I like the Thunderbolts but I might consider them Team 2 to Green Ducks Team 1 in terms of fandom.

The four way photo finish to cap off the event was neato.

In my opinion, it was a bit of a heartless move to pull the Rojo Rollers HC aside and fire him before the event had even concluded. At least let him get back to the training ground or something. I guess that's just the Marble League, though.

Did they actually say he got fired? I doubt the conversation was good for his career, but as far as I recall Greg just said that he'd been called in and was probably about to be fired. Did I miss it being confirmed?

Greg mentioned that a new marble was approaching the meeting or something and speculated that it might mean a change was happening.

I imagine we'll hear the result next event.
