Look for "lost dog" signs, and ask the shelters if anyone has called looking for a lost puppy. If you want to bring him in, put him in the bathroom or laundry room, separate from your dog. You don't know if that pup has it's shots, or what it could potentially be carrying and you don't want to infect your dog with anything. Maybe take a pic and put up a couple signs at the grocery store and town hall also. If you do a pic, black and white pic, so you can ask for a few details from people who call, like color and special markings. The dog was kind enough while it was just chilling around my house, it actually played fetch unlike my dog lol. I didn't bring it in the house or anything but did leave some food and water outside overnight. I couldn't find anything posted on any local missing pet groups and I have company coming over this weekend for my fiancee's birthday and couldn't have it staying around here so I had to do something. It was whining and scared when I brought her. I felt so bad, I think she kinda got attached to me from playing with her yesterday, and I kinda did too. She really didn't want to leave my side when I brought her in. I hope they're able to find her original owners, they said she wasn't chipped but they do post pictures and ads around the city when they take a dog in. I'm gonna keep checking in with them periodically to see if she's alright. They were brought to a shelter and never got claimed, so we adopted him. It ended up being a really rewarding experience. Smackems posted... My sister is here to help stay with my mom. It was whining and scared when I brought her. I felt so bad, I think she kinda got attached to me from playing with her yesterday, and I kinda did too. She really didn't want to leave my side when I brought her in. I hope they're able to find her original owners, they said she wasn't chipped but they do post pictures and ads around the city when they take a dog in. I'm gonna keep checking in with them periodically to see if she's alright.
