Alright, so full disclosure here. I fucked up, I drank. I'm learning that I don't think I can do this on my own and i'm thinking about checking myself into a rehab at this point. I'm gonna kill myself if I don't because I can't stay away.

If I go, it will be by this weekend. I'd be gone a full year, as far as I know, no phone/internet the first 30 days. Beyond that I don't even know if I get internet at all there. Just wanted to check in and update though, I may be going away for a while.

Most rehab facilities are similar to what it's like when you stay in a hospital psych ward. At least in some ways.

If you think you need rehab, get it. It is very apparent that you really want to kick this and thats the number 1 thing that will make it work. Rehab really only works for people when they want the help and that means it will be a great tool for you.

Just out of curiosity, do you know what it was that triggered you to drink again? Like for me today I didn't need to stop anywhere on the way home but some freak show shit happened at work and I lost all my emails, contacts, and all kinds of shit that I likely won't be getting back. Between that and playing nice with the fiancee at work knowing we still need to work on our shit just makes me upset when I leave work. I can tell you right now I love just drinking, posting here, listening to tunes, and tuning all that shit out at least for as long as I can.

But I will say it's better to lose you for a year vs a lifetime.

I'm gonna decide tomorrow. Wife is on board. I have seen her basically every day of my life since we got married. 30 days without her, then only 2 days a week for the following year is what's holding me back. She's my rock and my best friend, not sure how i'd handle the time apart.

I don't know if iI told you guys but i'm an organ donor. If I get into a situation soon where i'm in deep shit, i'm gonna specifically dedicate my liver to Mabus. It's going to state that medical advances need to take place in a big hurry so that he can get drunk on my liver and whats left of it. Just throw a USB port on my liver and hook it into him and block all ports to his implanted liver. Let the him live through me damnit!

That's my solid pledge to Mabus today as long as i'm conscience at the scene to still write it down.

I'm an organ donor too. But I doubt any of my organs are going to be worth a shit when I'm dead. I smoked a pack a day for a decade from 17-27, and have been drinking pretty frequently since 16. Was also born with no ear canals and my vision is shit. Idk what organs I have that woukd be worth someone else to have lol

My vision is pretty fucked too, contacts are -4.25 in both eyes. It hasn't kept declining though thankfully.

For some unknown reason, the astigmatism in my left eye went away. Righty continues to be a whinybitch.

Then again, I went 20-25 years between eye exams, then blew $1500 on glasses after insurance.

I have perfect vision actually. Not sure how it worked out that way but that's about all that I got left that's great on me.

Women used to freak out at my green eyes too... Maybe it's all the bloodshotness of it all now that caused it to slow down.

Thanks man, wife and basically everyone close to me is saying the same.

I remember going to boot camp when I joined the Army, and it was 9 weeks with no internet, phone, electronics, and it felt like I was there for a year not two months. If it's gonna be like this for a year, idk how i'm gonna deal. I gotta get my shit together though.
