Does order matter?

remake, re2, re2 remake, re3, then 4 >5 > 6 >7 > 8 and throw revelations 1 and 2 in there somewhere.

Play 5, 6 and rev 2 coop. Skip remake 3. its byfar the worst in the series.

RE2 and RE2remake.

RE2 if you're not going to play RE1 first.

That's basically how I played them. RE2 was my first, then I went back and played RE1 after (and wound up not really liking it because I was kind of spoiled by RE2), then I went on to play the later games.

My personal recommendation would probably be RE2, RE3, Code Veronica, RE4, and then skip everything else. At which point you can play RE7 & 8 as a cohesive story if you want.

Play the PlayStation version of 1 first. Don't play as Chris unless you want to torture yourself

It really doesnt matter which one you play first as long as you dont play RE8 before RE7.

RE2 remake is a good starting place, if you are willing the RE1 remake is decent.

RE4 and RE7 are my favorites.

asuming those are the remakes, 2 by a long shot. but you should try REmake 1 to actually see what the series is about.

Totally left out RE0...

But as far as the OT, RE2 first...both story-wise and Gameplay-wise. RE3/Nemesis is basically (at least the OG version) a wrap around Game (Story Wise) for RE2

RE4 was my first, and that was a huge mistake because I absolutely hated it and wouldn't touch the series for a while. A couple years later I played REMake and liked the series much more after that.

Anyways, I would play RE2 first, it is the better of the two games (Although RE3 isn't bad by any stretch).
