It might have one of your hands or arm in it's mouth, with your available hand grab onto the side of the dog's head and jam your thumb right into the dog's eye socket and puncture the eye. If both hands free, do it at the same time to both eyes to blind the dog. Doesn't have a collar? Wrap your arm around the dog's neck tightly and get the other arm under a leg and grip your choking arm, making an arm bar.
