I've seen it played a lot and it just feels slow and clunky compared to the afore mentioned 2 games Should I skip straight to Fusion? If I had to guess I'd say I'm probably about 70% or so of the way through Fusion. I quite enjoy a lot of Metroidvania titles in general, but hadn't played any actual Metroid or Castlevania games until recently (still haven't on the Castlevania side). --- You wouldn't download a Trumble. <cite>Trumble posted [p:955588127] in I've playe... The Popo 06/30/21 1:43:54 AM #13:	Id only played the original Metroid (NES - beat it), about one hour of Zero Mission, and hour of Metroid II (Gameboy), and beaten Metroid Prime twice. Recently, I played Resident Evil Remake for the first time (my first RE game) and loved it. Got me thinking that I should go back and play some of the classics I missed out on. So Im currently about 6 hours into Super Metroid. Having a really fun time with it, outside of a chunk of time where it took me longer than it shoulda to find the Ice Beam. The game puts roadblocks in your way that dissuades exploration because they require items you dont have yet. Super is best for replay value 100% The first time is rough stuff XD trying to figure out the Grappling Beam on your first run like LOL Help me Im in Hell!p me!! It's a roguelike metroidvania, heavy on the Metroid influence, and it has the stiffer controls of Super with a few powerups over the course of the run that makes the character feel a lot more slick and fluid as time goes on. I'm not too hot on Super Metroid's physics either - Zero Mission was my first Metroid game, and arguably my first Metroidvania too. Super Metroid is just a lot more clunky in comparison, it comes with age and innovation. But having played A Robot Named Fight as much as I have - about a hundred hours, with nearly everything unlocked - I think I can tackle Super Metroid now. I won't know until I try, but I will say that the physics of ARNF have helped me come to terms with the idea of a Samus that's weirdly floaty but weirdly dense at the same time. I've recommended it to Metroid fans before, and not everyone tends to like it - but it might be worth looking into, especially when it goes on sale. --- But I don't have to make this mistake, and I don't have to stay this way. Xethuminra 06/30/21 3:31:27 AM #37:	Echoes has a cool gameplay thing & the Luminoth are a cool offshoot of the Chozo. Dark Samus is also a thing. Corruption is very story-oriented, and you get to travel the galaxy, and interact with the Federation & other Bounty Hunters Its verrrrry different for a Metroid game......
