As I've said in too many other threads already, a relatively mild case of covid left me with a damaged heart and ED. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and get vaccinated.

If covid doesn't kill you, hospitalize you crippling you financially, or spread to your loved ones, it can still permanently cripple you. Getting vaccinated should be a no brainer.

What truly bothers me more than anything is that they always operate under the assumption that choosing not to be vaccinated only affects them. It puts other people at risk too.

It's always sad reading topics like this. Way too many people just want to yell at other people and call them stupid. Again, anti vaxxers aren't exactly using flawless logic, but calling them stupid is very unlikely to convince them otherwise.

There are ways to try and reach these people and we should try to do all that we can. Even if you are vaccinated, it still doesn't do you any good for unvaccinated people to be allowing this stuff to spread.

This is why I'm generally in favor of offering all sorts of incentives, financial or otherwise, to get more people vaccinated. It is very likely worth the cost.

I spent an entire year taking care of really sick covid patients, many of whom admitted that they didn't take it seriously until it was too late. I don't view them as bad guys, I pity them. They are victims of a coordinated misinformation campaign. And they deserved better.

But what really angers me are the people who still downplay what has happened. Even after all that.

I was working in Southeastern New Mexico which is basically little Texas so even at the height of the pandemic there were almost no masks. I was doing SSPS monitoring and camping in the middle of nowhere to avoid town. I'm still not sure where I caught it from, though I have a sneaking suspicion it was from a portajohn on the pipeline.

As someone who wants to get it but can't(for now) due to a medical issue that I'm recuperating from, I really would hope people get vaccinated. Even if it were only a small chance to avoid all the pain and death COVID caused previously I would say it's worth it.
