Idk for this game I only slightly follow the meta. I understand why things are strong and what is strong but I would find myself getting bored just chasing meta. Like some of the most popular teams on the reddit at least revolve around only 4*s but I just couldn't meta chase myself.

This is honest to goodness true, the first time I ever got all the stars on abyss 12, it was with an all four star team. The reason why is four star characters tend to synergize better for elemental reactions, and those reactions pretty much rule the game. That has changed a little bit with 1.6 simply because venti is broken as s***, but then again so is sucrose.

This sucks in theory, but in practice I find that she hits so fucking hard anyway (especially with C2 and Broken Pines) that it kinda doesnt matter. It's common for my Eula's regular attacks to crit for like 20k damage. A regular attack.

But shes a rather obvious whale character. You either dont roll on her, get her to C2, or get her to C6. Her C6 is straight-up cheat mode.

Yeah but if you have the Childe/Fischl/Beidou combo, with all of them at C6 with good 5* weapons, how would they do? You wouldn't have that big damage explosion at the end but you'd have so many high damage attacks coming so fast, I could easily see it having higher overall DPS.

Anyway my point isn't to say her DPS isn't great, just that she doesn't break the meta as much as people seem to think. She doesn't make all the old 5* characters look weak and useless by comparison.

I really need to build my sucrose more. She's like a halfway compromise between Venti and Albedo.

See, amazingly Ive had the opposite happen. Ive gotten so many characters to 80+ and theyre all so overpowered relative to the content, I have zero desire to spend money on more characters. Venti and Zhongli feel legitimately broken. Noelle gets so OP its legit stupid.

Im still fairly new so my roster is small. But its FOMO that hits me the most.

As someone who's more less collecting every unit, I wouldn't do it unless you can afford it financially. Most characters released, I mean 5*s here, are DPS characters and you only need one or two of them to comfortably beat any content in the game.

thats probably true, Im not really at the endgame yet, but I do have a lot of disposable income that I probably shouldnt be disposing on gacha >.>

No 5* character in the game makes all the rest look weak and useless by comparison. Ganyu is stupid strong but Diluc is still very powerful and serviceable. Eula has her niche as the sole 5* physical dps and she fits the role. I can't really speak on her meta viability since mine is C6 but even before she does what almost every 5* does, which is clear all content.

I caved and rolled for Kazuha. I got Keqing on my 50/50 and the rolled until I ran out of primo and got Kazuha

then I caved in and bought another 8000 primos for $160 -_-

Pulled 30, got Kazuha since i was near guaranteed pity, 2 Rosaria constellations, a Widsith finally, and a Razor con. Overall about as good as I could hope to expect, but no more pulling for a while since I don't need any more Bennett or Razor and that's all I will likely get if I try for more Rosaria.

Goddammit 40 pulls hoping for some Rosarias and I get 3 Razors and a Bennett. I have guaranteed pity and I want to save it for Ayaka or Baal so I dont want to pull anymore.

Pulled the new guy and a dupe of him within 10 pulls, but still never pulled a Rosaria. It's strange. I just wanted one copy of her. Guess I'll wait till her next time. No reason to go further on this banner.

Hmm. He seems kinda fun and decently strong actually.

Now I am questioning if I should try a bit more for that second constellation. That'd be a very nice elemental mastery boost.

I played him in the trial and while he is kinda fun, I feel he's kinda weak and the way his gravity pull is selfish just makes me not care much coz I can just use Venti or Sucrose instead.
Sayu's coming soon and I feel like she'll also be way more useful than him.

I don't really need 4 anemos.

On the other hand, if you don't have any anemo and if your main DPSes are AoE melee chars (Tartaglia especially?), I'm sure he will be pretty useful

Tried for a Bennett const but got "The fucking Bell" and Razor const instead. My pity rate is at 21 now so no problem anyway since I still have half of July to collect in primos for Ayaka. My main concern is not getting Yoimiya though

Xiao is a lot better as a DPS for sure. I'm not entirely sure what Kazuha is supposed to be other than a melee Sucrose

Kazuha's C6 is kinda like Eula's C1. I'm guessing anyone who wants to play him as a main DPS would have to roll all the way to C6

Don't use dragon spine spear it's straight inferior to crescent pike. She can work as main DPS but she gets significant bonuses for attacking from behind so you'll need to make use of freeze reactions to stay behind enemies.

Rosaria is much better than Eula for short fights. I.e. Daily commissions and normal domains.

TBF anyone is much better than Eula short-term. She is a great fighter, but her burst is waaaaaaaaaay overkill for everything that exists in this game.

I really like Tartaglia's speed in overworld enemy fights.
Meanwhile Klee annihilates damage sponges, cracking shields like candy glass. Getting C2 was definitely the right choice.

Eula's one niche is bosses / abyss.

But to be fair that's an important niche.

She has been a godsend in this boss event. Completely trivializes those samurai bosses.

Also if you have her C2 or higher and SoBP, her main attacks after about 6 seconds are like 10k+

And yeah Tartaglia is fucking great, I don't get the hate. I have him at c0 and he still seems amazing. The secret is to treat him like a sub DPS.

It's the cancer mindset of "if it's not #1, it's garbage" in this game's fanbase.
Like, I see people telling others not to get Ayaka coz she's not powercreep like Ganyu. Yet it's super obvious she will become incredibly useful and very powerful.

Tartaglia specifically can't have 100% uptime at C0, until C6, so people immediately discarded him as bad.
But he has two bursts (one is a strong single hit that recovers energy, the other other is a very powerful single hit) and his damage skyrockets when he's fighting large groups of small enemies together with a big one.
Then there's the crazy synergy with electro he has.

He's probably one of the best characters in the game for cleaning out large groups of enemies quickly. If we ever get a horde/survival type of challenge, he'll be in high demand.

Well I got greedy and did one more 10 pull for Rosa and got Kazuha (and another Bennett which is nice I guess). There goes my guaranteed Ayaka or Baal.

Its a weird feeling to be mad that I got a non pity 5*.

I'm only like 20 pulls away from a hard pity. I should probably wait until Baal.

I think that screencap is with Atk and Def boosted by Whiteblind hits, followed by activating burst. The Noelle is C6, so the Atk gets an additional boost based on her 2600 defense, which is much easier to get.
