In the case of a man, women would rather date a divorcee of a certain age than a man who was never married.

I'm not sure whether there's a benefit for women, and in their case it can be a turnoff for men.

My friends parents got divorced. His moms status is now divorced and his dads status is in a a relationship with his new girl.
