You are equating not liking someone for existing with not wanting to date someone. Your argument makes a lot less sense than you think it does

That's not the case with you though. Also, there's several ways to perform the surgery and not all have any flipping around of the penile nerves to accomplish them.

thats good to know! i havent read up on it in a while but I remembered that Jazz Jennings had a messed up one which had to be done multiple times due to complications. not sure if its common or maybe it was a one off botch but from what I read about it, seems like a lot to go through

She started puberty blockers early and never risked puberty but it resulted in her penis never developing in size and I can only infer she didn't want to get a non penile inversion surgery, and she didn't want to use material from elsewhere to help make up the difference. So she needed revisions to create more space over time.

Eh, people keep using the "if you dated someone and found out after some time that they were trans and stopped dating them as a result then you're a transphobic bigot" argument, but really that can fall into the category of "you feel deceived and what nothing more to do with that person".

I liken that to dating someone and finding out after some time that they've been married the entire time and thus cutting that person out of your life. In that situation people would likely empathize with the person who cut ties. But in the special case of a person being transgendered the situation is looked at from a loaded perspective of "accept this without question or be called transphobic".

They don't have to tell you they're trans, so you could have slept with a trans person without ever knowing.

I mean, is it lying by omission if your partner doesn't tell you if they've had a boob job? Or a nose job? Or their tonsils removed? If it isn't something transmissible, I think all that stuff falls under HIPAA. :v It isn't the transgender person's fault you find them attractive.

I'd expect my partner to tell me major details of their life such as if they used to be a different gender. I wouldn't expect them to volunteer minute details.
