I fully expect a lot of hissing and protestant behavior. Only thing I'm not looking forward to is teaching another minion what isn't a scratch post and device cables are not toys. Plus this one has stealth technology.

The struggle is real! I can't count how many times I've closed a door and not realized one of them had snuck into the pantry/hall closet/bathroom till hours later..

Thanks. I do too, its nice to have an easier way to play with him than chasing him around and running from him on all fours or risking a light mauling. Lol.

I'm not nominating favorites because i don't have any, all the felines shown off are utterly gorgeous. But, are there any users here who aren't now completely in love with Simba?!

I pissed off rivel by using transparent cup with her play feeding.

She usually do well with puzzle feeding makeshift toys, but with transparent cup she struggles becuase she keeps trying to reach by the side instead of the opening. After few attempts she got mad and left, and dont eat her food even after i got it out of the container.

Silver doesn't fare well either but she ate it after i got the food out of the cup.

What's puzzle feeding?

basically a game where you put food in containers for them to fish it out, or hiding it around the house. apparently it simulates foraging and help them feel like they "earn" their food as well as makes their kitty brain works.

alot of puzzle toys out there but you can easily make one with cups/toilet paper core so they fish it out on their own.

Furrball has the couch on lock down. Didn't mention it, but she was in a near death state... again, a few weeks ago. She's on the road to kidney/liver/pancreas failure due to age, so it's nothing out of the ordinary.

The 2 feral kittens returned, for anyone who wanted to know the result. They only lost about 10-14% of their ear length wise, not so bad. The place said they were absolute sweet hearts and couldn't believe how well they behaved. Which only makes the current situation make us feel worse.

The mother is hissing and smacking them in the face repeatedly, even though they seem to recognize her and try to be friendly. Hopefully it's just some sort of disciplinary action as she's not directly aggressive/attacking them otherwise, just seems to have either forgotten they're hers after 1 day due to scents or decided she's done with them.

The bigger fluffy one seems to have already mostly recovered in terms of behavior, she's socializing and playing with the other 2 as if nothing's wrong. The female tabby that was meant to go was grooming her as if sensing her sister was hurt.

The smaller tabby is literally pushing me towards cry town. She's the smallest and most lethargic so you already feel pity. Then considering the fact she got scooped up and placed in a strange container twice, then sent to get cut up. Comes back to get seemingly disowned by her mother and littermates, left to curl up into a sad little ball all alone and confused what she did wrong. She's had a rough 1.5 days.

I just sat next to her and just stroked her head/back for a while on seperate occasions. She lifts her head towards the incoming petting and seems to really appreciate it. Haven't actually seen her for about 5-6 hours now, so hopefully she's just resting/asleep.

Edit: She's ok, opened the door to scare off a raccoon that's determined to get them. All 5 cats were suddenly present and close, looking up at me. :| I'm gonna have to stay up all night in basically silence so I can listen to and check on them.

Oh man I wish I'd known about this topic earlier. I'd love to get added to the list. O don't have a cat right now, but here's a pic of the one I grew up with. I had her from birth and she passed when she was nineteen. The last couple years she stayed with my parents since they're home more and she got a bit lonely.

Aww she was cute. 19 is an amazing years. You gave her lots of love. That counts man. A cat won't get to that age unless they get a lot of care and love

adopted this cat when it started living under my porch. apparently the last owners just stopped feeding her so now she lives at my house. call her debris because she brings leaf litter in with her any time she comes in...

Aww thanks for the update.. do you think mother is pregnant again? Might be why she was a bit cold towards them. I'd say the other kitten just needs time, they all seem to vary in how quickly they get back to normal after being fixed.

My girlfriend picked up Mereoleona and set her on her lap while she laid down on the couch. Mereoleona is normally not a lap cat or snuggly at all, but she nestled down and seemed pretty cozy.

About... five, maybe ten minutes later, Archie hops up on the table in front of the couch and very delicately climbs over to lie down on her chest/practically on her face, so he can be closer to her than Mereoleona.

Archie is, hands down, the most transparently jealous cat I have ever met. He also glared at Mereoleona the entire time, clearly planning to slap her, until I sneezed which startled him and he ran off. Mereoleona continued to be an unbothered queen (I suspect that her hearing is trash). She's actually still just chilling there.

I miss my cat. **clenches fists**

@_Rinku_ i read yesterday some paw chewing can be a result of allergy. Have the vet explored this yet?

They haven't, but I'll bring it up next time I take her in. She's also been licking parts of her chest absolutely raw, so I think she must have anxiety or maybe allergies now. Poor baby. She seems comfortable right now, which makes me happy. I really hope she likes it here and feels safe/loved.

I planned on training him but it turned out I didn't need to. He just took to it naturally.

He even follows me off leash if were in a safe place for him. Took me forever to get comfortable with that but he never goes far. Sometimes I lose sight of him but he always stays close.
