better have a job lined up. Unless you like working in the casino industry. Thats basically the job market out here. Aside from from the 100s heat in three months out of the year. The weather is great here. If youre like me and sensitive to allergies and shit. Its gonna be a nightmare if you dont prepare properly. Im basically congested all year around. Also, dust is everywhere a lot. I swear have to dust my house every two days

Main rule: Dont go to a buffet.

Its actually got a great job market, just depends on if you have a good resume. Casino jobs are more entry level jobs, but the actual job industry out here is amazing depending on what skills you have.

Singing is hard to get into out here, but if she does move out here and wants to do that, I'd suggest applying at either a private club (NOT STRIP CLUB to be clear), or if she wants a major Casino go for The Orleans. Depends on what kind of singer she is though she might get into something as good as the Luxor.

Not really. MGM itself accounts for 51 percent of all employment in Clark county

Because of how much they own. They dont own just Casinos.

Edit; half the strip is MGM, including land. The other half is Caesars with about 8% owned by Treasure Island (which just bought Circus Circus from MGM). If you look outside Paradise, NV (the actual city of the strip) theres actually a lot of great jobs.

I do however consider places like Henderson and Summerlin parts of Las Vegas considering the post office recognizes those towns as such. Remember, Las Vegas isnt one town, it's like 12.

Red Rock is a great Casino too. It's more designed for locals than tourist so you avoid the "tourist tax" and they have almost everything youd want.

If you have the money I'd recommend Koi at Planet Hollywood, and taking a leisurely stroll around the Promenade (located next to the Flamingo).

Stratosphere is only fun if you plan to jump (at least 50 floors are locked off so dont be convinced it's that awesome)

Definitely check out the Bellagio, their displays are awesome.

Edit: also, the Hoover Dam, it's actually a great hike and you can see some really cool stuff.

i'll be at rio mostly, i'm splurging excessively on this trip so budget isn't too much of a concern but i don't want to pay like $80 a meal every time. And i'll eat most anything besides fish.

i'm taking a helicopter to the grand canyon...hoping they give us some time to hike around, but since it's a tour i'm a little worried it will only be like 30 minutes. Was thinking about maybe driving up to bryce in utah. but man if the heat is going to be this bad >_>

i'm going solo and i'm 85% sure i do not have the balls to do it without someone edging me on. It was something I looked into in an attempt to conquer my fear of heights though and still something i'm considering.

I really want to get the nerve to skydive one day and I thought this could be a middle ground since i trust the cables more than a parachute. And less distance obviously.

Fwiw red rock canyon is literally just outside the Vegas city limits so like a 15-20 minute drive from the strip. A lot more convenient than those other options

With that in mind try Koi. It's really good and not that expensive. Depending on who you are, getting the alcoholic version of a Baja Blast from Taco Bell is cool. I've never been to Hit's amazing but an old friend of mine used that to propose to his wife so I assume its amazing.

I was just there two weeks ago for bachelor party

Had a suite at the Rio. It fucking SUCKED. One of the shower drains was clogged the whole three days. And they never did room service the whole three days either. When we complained, they said they were understaffed.

Also, if you plan on going to a buffet, I'd recommend calling to see if it's reserve only. We tried going to the bacchinal buffet at Caesars palace only to find out it's reserve only

At least you can walk through Luxor to Excalibur to make the trip (slightly) more air conditioned. The best way walk through the strip is through casinos.

Theres also 2 ziplines here. One at the Linq (as well as the worlds largest ferris wheel with an open bar) and one at Freemont. I HIGHLY suggest hitting up Fremont. It's the original strip. To bad you missed First Friday. It's a free festival every first friday of the month.

I did not see this part, that makes Rio a somewhat better option. Heard the rooms can still be hit or miss either way, but having a car will offset a lot of the location stuff. I've never driven on the strip but I have to assume there's a way you can park somewhere for a meal, accidentally get drunk, and leave your car where it's at for the night while you uber home.

i'll have a few rentals throughout a challenger, a shelby gt500, and the porsche. The shelby will actually be used for a road trip to sante fe to visit some family.

i also have one night at lame ass trump tower because i trusted priceline and they owned me. Basically vegas for a few days, sante fe for a few days, back to vegas for a day then red eye flight home.
