I did the update and it looks good imo. The layout hasn't changed at all for me. The only difference I'm seeing is that tabs look like buttons now. The new tab button is still there for me.

Found the button in the customize menu, seems it was assigned to the non-bar that holds tabs at the bottom now, but it was not visible there.

Really, why can I not assign anything to that bar in-between the websites and the address bar...

Mine actually looks pretty much the same as it did besides I'm using dark theme and its harder to tell where the tabs end. There's like no line break or anything, the words just fade away before the next tab's words show up.

Weird, my laptop is on 89 as well, but the tabs are not at the bottom of the screen, was there a stealth change?

I am on 89 and they moved where the reload tab option is when you right click a tab. It has been killing my muscle memory.

Thanks, now the tabs look normal again and not see-through, hopefully that also works on my pc once I get back next Sunday.

tbh, the customization is always a pain because I tend to forget how to do specific things but because I keep putting it on new devices it's gotten a bit better

Unfortunately, disabling proton did not move the tabs back-up on my PC, any other tips?

Edit: found some css file coding, now the layout is pleasant again.

I got mine back to normal since yesterday. Only thing I don't like is the tabs bar is the same color as the window frame.

Other than that, I'm glad to have the tabs where they belong again.

Yep, it does not look the prettiest right now, but it is perfectly functional. While the tabs underneath the taskbar definitely was not pleasant to work with.

It put the tabs under the windows taskbar for me (I have it set to auto-hide). I also just like to both have the tabs and the url bar close together.

Screepcap it so I can see what you're talking about? (And obviously blot out any links, etc, you don't want us to see.)

Just try the auto-hide feature yourself and notice the window size is not reduced when it comes up. Which overlaps with the tab position in the new layout.
(aka, not wanting to mess with the css style sheet and all just to show it again)

I'm not sure what any of that is, but it sounds like something I don't want to fiddle with because I'm not 100% sure I'll know/remember how to fix it afterward.

In task bar properties, there is the option for it to auto hide.

...okay, I have the new layout now (although it adjusted to most of what I had before) and it's ugly as fuck. I didn't set a style when I first loaded it because I wanted to get my windows back. I'm going to have to figure out how to adjust this thing to create a clear delineation between tabs because this is jarring

Hate this fucking thing. It's ugly, and it caused me to lose a shitton of tabs in one window. Going to take forever to figure out where I was. Fuck.
