There's a lot of things I gave up on because of it. I gave up Warrior Nun because of an early scene. I find the original Star Trek hard to watch for multiple reasons, the one that sticks out is Bones aversion to machines and robots. It doesn't make sense for a person in the future to not trust those when they were well established before he was even born. It would be like someone nowadays not trusting automobiles or something like that.

Well... It's not that I don't trust automobiles...

It's just what may be inside it

But anyway, while interpretation of individual flaws is up to personal reaction or discretion, I can be a little picky when it comes to shows or movies as well. Yours seems to be a little... pedantic in nature, not to lend too much to the negative connotation, cause I guess I get it, it just seems to be the word that fits the bill. My lack of enjoyment in shows or movies is more of one that is either dictated by personal mood, just not in the best state of mind to be able to enjoy something, or mainly when it seems like things are just stretching on too long and I'm not seeing anything I really like. To put it simply, when things are coming across as boring.

Nobody likes things that are boring unless... well, that's the personal opinion lol

I just have to emphasize it's when things are stretching on for too long it's like ugh why am I even watching this

You're upset because a character in a fictional setting is wrong, and that's played up to highlight things about the setting?

There's a lot of little stuff that bugs me at times, but unless it keeps coming up, I can usually look past it.

Personally, I don't trust elevators. They've been around for a few hundred years now (with the earliest, pre-industrial versions going back thousands of years), but I'd still rather take the stairs most of the time.

Certainly not, since anybody except that guy would get modded for saying it. He's protected, though.

I've gotten away with more discussion or divulging of details regarding the illicits than may be regarded as justifiable according to the ToS (I don't think you can at all, and weed certainly gets more leeway) but I'm still not going to push, promote, or discuss anything as much since they'll definitely just start targeting me more

even though it's really just educational

TC u need to go smoke a joint, then the flaws will just be anecdotal

OMG, I tried to process this edit and before it could transmit... My internet went down instantly

And the voice in my head said "Remember that"

Holy motherfucker

Personally, I've found that, while I can come across as very nitpicky (especially on PotD), my eye for stupid minor details is usually tied to how much I'm enjoying the movie/show/game/book/etc. If something is engaging and interesting, I tend to not notice the flaws at all, or if I do, I just sort of handwave them away and don't consider them overly important.

If I'm noticing and getting hung up on a lot of stupid details, it tends to mean that the piece of media in question has completely failed to engage me, for whatever reason. They're telling a bad story I don't connect with in any way, so to amuse myself, my brain starts looking for other things to be interested in.

Yeah, that would be like people today not trusting vaccines.

Oh wait.
