Ice cream and Frozen dessert have been the bane on many people's mind on those who want ICE CREAM at the aisle at supermarkets..but sometimes when people don't look at the labels and just look at what type of ice cream or frozen dessert it is that they randomly get it thinking it's all ice cream but both have very different ingredients..

Ice cream is made from real milk which is more expensive but frozen desserts are made from cheap vegetable oils

Ice cream also freezes better in the freezer while frozen desserts tend to come out semi solid or soft.

But can you tell the difference?

Yes I can tell, b/c it says in the picture what they are...
If it was a top view of the carton w/ the lid removed, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I thought the difference between them was the % of air content when mixed. Like, frozen dairy dessert is lighter and more "airy" and has a higher air content while as ice cream has a min. standard and is thicker/creamier/heavier.

I can tell because it says on the container. I don't think i've ever had "frozen dairy desert."

I can definitely tell the difference. I had it by mistake recently. I like to let my I've cream get really soft first and frozen dessert tastes bad when softened.
