Yeah they played like the first five minutes legit and then it shrank to a tiny PIP box with no sound while the regular programming played.

Best news I've heard in awhile, tbh. Venture Bros getting the ax after 17 years was one of the biggest personal letdowns of 2020; I was hoping they'd at least get a movie to close out the series, and it's a huge boost to have that confirmed (curious to see if they'll play it safe and put a ribbon on the plot, or keep things open for possible future content).

Definitely didn't see it coming that Metalocalypse would get a movie after all these years, though. That's some major icing on the cake.

I'd be cool with this, as long as they answer two big questions: what is the true nature of Rusty and The Monarch's biological relationship, and who was actually responsible for the Movie Night Massacre.***Potential Theory Spoilers***They've been dropping hints that Rusty and Monarch are basically the same person since S4 at least, so I'd always assumed that the Monarch was a discarded Rusty clone; but certain things brought up in S7 make me think that maybe it's the other way around, and the Monarch is somehow Jonas Sr's natural-born son and true heir to the family name. As for the second one, I'm finding myself quite taken with the theory that Bud Manstrong was responsible for the Movie Night Massacre; he accidentally saw the Blue Morpho sex tape, and in a fit of revulsion he accidentally pulled the lever to the bay doors.

I think it's reasonable to assume the movie could put a ribbon on these two questions, at least. Hell, for most of the show's lifespan I assumed that the big question of whatever happened to Jonas Venture Sr. would be an eternally-teased secret, and yet all of the sudden S7 dropped that in our laps.
