That's mostly a joke - I actually think daddy issues in guys manifest in making friends with very brash, sociable people, and letting themselves get caught in their shadow. They never got that feeling of security or friendly banter from their dad, so they seek it out in the friends they make. --- One thing about the good guys that I've noticed: they always beg for mercy in the end. Well for some people it looks like constantly going after older men as romantic partners to fill a gap. For my bf (sidenote: I am not older than my bf), it looks like avoiding older men and not trusting them as easily as other people.
