Because they wanted to be on there? Considering nobody uses the Switch for that anyway (especially since afaik the Switch doesn't have any ad blockers), it doesn't matter. It's like asking why the XB1 can't make toast.

Licensing and probably memory concerns. If you have Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ ect... on your switch, probably can't have many games.

It's pretty crazy to not have Netflix, but at least you get Hulu.

There's just a laptop that requires an amount of setup to get going (namely plugging it in and setting it up).

I would very much like to use my switch for Netflix.

Memory concerns? I literally delete two games every time I buy a new game. Theyve never been concerned about memory.

Yeah, but this laptop is my SOs laptop.
So if I want to watch netflix on the TV, it means I need to either have time where it's just me in the apartment, or, it's something for both of us.

I'm not against watching stuff with her, but, it's a level of friction and I'd rather just go watch it and not need to ask about it.

Lol what, they're just thin clients that contain some basic functionality around authenticating and browsing content that comes from the servers. It's not like you're downloading the movies that come with them too

Nintendo generally doesn't give a fuck about the world outside of Japan, and they tend to plan and design all their apps and features around what Japanese users want, not what the rest of the world might consider important.

If Netflix is relatively unpopular in Japan, they might not see the need to ever bother adding an app for it.
