Salary employees don't measure their pay/benefits hourly.

No medical industry job pays that hourly and none of them pay that salary unless they are CEO. Maybe if he was a plumber or electrician.

Shrug, I have worked jobs that paid that per hour, that were not salaried (well effectively that per hour based on inflation now vs salrary (50-70$/hr) in the early 90's.

I would love a part time job paying even $40 an hour though, just work like 2-3 days a week till i'm 55. I am realistic and figure i'll be lucky to get anything much over 15$ base, but....perhaps with tips it'll be over $20 on average.

Need only about $1200-$1500 (because the cost of everything is skyrocking so freaking fast sigh) to pay my bills....just need it for 4 years....but not sure if i'll actually find anything like that.

I'm pretty sure there are medical jobs that have hourly rates, since not everything is salaried and if he's in a non-supervisory position he would be eligible for overtime.

He could just be dividing his salary by work hours in a year. It's really not that complicated.

Most salary jobs include benefit packages and don't reduce pay to hourly rates.

Huh? I didn't bully/insult anyone. You can't break down benefit/salary jobs into hourly rates.

Bruh. Are you being willfully dense.

If I make 100k a year I divide that by 1920 hours for 40 hours a week. That's $52 an hour.

Again. Not that complicated.

Non-Exempt salary employees regularly know their hourly rate even though they are paid salary because they are eligible for overtime. Look it up its pretty common.

Shrug, we worked at a few law firms, with a base salary, but we charged $300/hr, so there was certainly an hourly rate, and honestly at least for my wife (who literally only litigated cases and refused to do any paperwork etc in the office), it was probably MORE/HR based on her salary than the $300 because you pay a $5000 base just for a court appearance (which was usually much less then 2 hours total time including travel).

But yeah, I get what your saying. Still alot of people are charging $100+ an hour now for non-salaried positions. Automechanics for instance (think it's like $120/hr base now), electricians, plumbers etc.

Not sure on the whole nursing thing to be honest or what exactly Blu does, but you can certainly have hourly jobs that pay over $100 now aday. Had a friend awhile ago that fixed refrigeration units for big stores (like safeway/fred meyers etc) and he and all his co-workers made freaking bank per hour. Dude looked alot like The Rock actually lol. He was cool.

Wouldn't mind getting into that field to be honest and I still have my electronic techs license etc. Pretty sure he was working more than 40 hours a week though and I'd really like to avoid that if possible. I have low energy etc, sleep at least 9 hours and if I'm working 40, I pretty much will be a zombie for the rest of the time I'm awake lol.

If your charging 100+/hr, you are doing it as a 1099 contractor, where 1/3 of that wage is taxes.

Law firm rates are also odd because each hour that's talked between the client and lawyer can be paid for by the opposing party, so it's scrutinized heavily.
