Worse in what way? I assume it is just kinda more of the same. Traverse an area, beat the boss, link it up to other areas, etc.

The areas are worse. You go through a stretch of 4 awful gimmicky areas in a row with their own awful gimmicky bosses.

Made it to the roof of the Fortress and found the bonfire. Sneaky that you have to literally fall off the edge to get it. Pfffft

I saw multiple help signs so.... that kinda made it obvious something was there.

I beat the Iron Giant boss demon thingy and now some demons have grabbed me and dropped me into a new area. Oh fuck, Anor Landor.

Fuck, there are huge like dark knights here and I found a bonfire. I'm gonna head ALL the way back to the Blacksmith so I can upgrade my stuff. I bought some Large Titanite Shards to help me level up my gear. Huzzzah!

You can. There's a little ring you touch and the gargoyles carry you back down to Sen's

Got my long sword to +10 and put a few of my Elite Knight pieces up around +5 or so.

Tagging this topic. I just started the Souls series about two months ago and I'm almost done with 3.

I love this game.

It is gonna be weird to go to Bloodborne from DS. I play somewhat defensively and Bloodborne definitely rewards aggressive play more.

Oh, I was also told by the youth who sorta got me to play the game (I work as a youth care worker and one I have an excellent relationship with told me to go for them) said I should be focusing on one stat over being well rounded. Gonna start pouring levels into strength now, maybe dex if I switch weapons.

Yeah, generally you pump VIT and whatever your damage stat is for your build while the other stats are just minimum to equip what you need. Depending on the game really some secondary stats are useful (or useless).

Generally, for melee builds, you put points into VIT, END, and whichever of STR or DEX is your primary.

I tried to fight Sif again since I'm here and my second attempt went pretty decently. I got him down to around 1/3rd of his health, maybe lower?

if so, the ring let's you walk in water without being slowed down, so it's helpful in Blight Town, if you wanna explore it, and the lowest level of Sen's Fortress.

There seem to be Titanite Demon's on the floor level of Sen's Fortress. Might be worth killing them if I can move through Water easily now.

Made my way over to Anor Londo. Opened the two chests, killed the Mimic, and looked at the glorious golden light across some opening.

So... I got pulled into a painting. Painted World of Ariamis or something?

yea, that's why it was important to get the doll first because you wouldn't be able to enter the painting otherwise

Ah! Well then! I killed some weird gross dragon looking thing and then fought the second boss from Demon's Souls? LOL! Phalanx you weirdo!

Also I killed some invading dark spirit and gave me MORE souls.

I might stick around here for a bit and farm. Phalanx's are easy I think the area gives me like... 7500 souls in like 2 minutes of work? Not too shabby. I'm level 51 right now so a level up is around 16k souls. Maybe get myself another 4-5 levels.

ignoring items is one of the biggest issues i see on this site, and in play-throughs on yt and twitch.

'this [insert enemy type, area, status] is bullshit!'

while having a crucial item in inventory, untouched.

I... hmmm. I don't normally kill things I don't HAVE to in an RP sense. But she has a tail so I'd get an item and she will give me some souls.

I killed her and got the Dagger from her tail.

I feel kinda bad about it? I broke into her world, murdered her, and then left.

You can make a nice scythe from her soul. Her dagger is not very good. I left her alone in ng+
