I thought the game automatically kicks you into new game + when you beat Gwyn. If not, then:

• theres another big boss in the DLC
• theres a secret boss in Anor Londo
• theres a couple cool (large) secret areas accessible from a big tree in blighttown

In Dark Souls 2 they added proper dual wielding. I recommend a build that's different from the one you used before, to spice things up.

I know next time I play 2, I'm probably going to use either a poison build, or a double greatsword build.

So, do keep in mind that the scales tip between Fair/Bullshit a little more in 2, especially SotFs, but it's still a good game nonetheless.

Assuming I will play as a melee class because range filth, is it overall a similar shift in difficulty compared with the first? Like some stuff was super easy and first try fights, others were Manus.

There are absolutely dips in difficulty with some of the bosses, but a handful of fights are still really difficult.

Now that you've beaten the first one, I highly doubt you'll have too much trouble getting the hang of things.

One thing I'd recommend getting right away is the Ring of Binding which can be found in Heide's Tower of Flame.

It should be one of your very first areas when you begin the game and make it to the hub.

Amazing Hub btw, I think it's my favorite in the souls games.

Pretty sure theres only one part of the game where enemies rush out a door you open, and they run single file across a narrow bridge where you can slaughter them with any thrusting weapon.

In regards to another post, I havent played SotFS, but I thought part of its updates were to lessen the amount of enemies in most areas to address some fans complaints.

I beat ds2 earlier this year, its pretty good actually, my least favorite parts were the very beginning and the very end, but everything inbetween is good

thing i like the most about ds2 is powerstancing and theres alot of very powerful weapons

estoc is amazing, pates spear is amazing, blacksmiths hammer, hiede knight lance, hell even a regular Mace can feel op

The rapier is the most busted weapon in DS2, to the point that I recommend you don't use it since it trivializes the game so much
